As friends staying for a few days the hotel seemed a good fit. The rooms were clean and the staff were helpful coming to our aid when we arrive with our bags! The bathroom though, it definitely entertained us with fits of laughter over the size of it, you literally had to reverse into the bathroom while manoeuvring around the...

Where to begin? Staying here on business - actually writing this review from my single bed in a twin room.... I cannot sleep the walls are so thin - I can hear next door pee and the person upstairs having a pee. Combined with a bass sound track of the other neighbour snoring like a steam train. The bathroom is...

I had stayed here before so I knew beforehand about the miniscule bedrooms. And the bathroom was very small indeed, albeit clean. It was so small you had to stand side-on to the tiny washbasin. The 'smart' TV did not work properly at first, and I had to phone room service and was told to turn it off and then...

this is definitely not a hotel for the average sized person! The lifts are small - 4 maximum - and we only had one lift working out of the two! Granted, there are other lifts if you fancy a decent walk to find them, but the main ones weren't full working during the 6 days i was there. From the...

The hotel si realtà comfortable, especially at the top floors. The room is clean and quite. If you don't take all the extra they want to offer you, the price is fair. In a very expensive city like London. The position is close the metro of High Street Kensington and to the bus stop of hop on/off services.

We were put in a room on the 1st floor directly above an xmas party the music was so loud the bed was vibrating! when I complained to the manager he more or less told me I was lying as the room was sound proof (it was not) he also said the music would finish at 1.00am - this was...

First impressions are great, greeted by a long coated doorman who took our cases from us and left them in reception. Easy check in into a standard room. A very small but clean room but for what we needed would of been adequate, the tiniest bathroom in the world. Every time I used the loo I was chasing the toilet...

Hotel looks great, lobby is very nice but if your get a standard room which is not cheap (£150) don't expect much at all, was more like a 2 star b&b! Can also hear other room guests as walls are thin. Did not have a comfortable stay and didn't sleep well. Won't be staying here again.

My husband booked this hotel and having ready the reviews I was very apprehensive about what we would find. I needn't have been!. Yes the rooms are a tad small but then you only want to sleep in there not spend the day there! Our room was lovely and clean, the bathroom had been modernized, smelt fresh and tea and...

Not what anyone staying in the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea would expect. The room was so small & claustrophobic, it seemed clean enough but so very tiny. If I had been on a shopping trip, there would not have been room to store one days worth of shopping! I wasn't impressed by the staff I came across either,...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
