I was part of a hen party that bought 8 vouchers and booked a day at the Spa. We were impressed with the location but once we entered the Spa we were very disappointed. Only one tiny pool, toilets are disgusting, sauna is for three people sitting on a tiny bench, steam room is far from good and the jacuzzi...

Dear Reviewer, Thank you for your feedback following your recent visit to our Spa. I am glad you enjoyed your massage, however I was disappointed to learn that your Spa day did not meet your expectations. The cleanliness of our facilities is taken very seriously and this is not our usual standard. We will be reviewing our cleaning procedures to...

Title about says it all. Location was fine - right under the London Eye and 5 min walk to Waterloo (trains or tube) - that's what it's all about. Oh, executive lounge not great - no windows, too many kids (granted, vacation season), not best wines or evening canape or dessert selection. Breakfast (not in the lounge, but in the...

My wife and stayed here for two nights after staying in the Marriott Park Lane. This location is one of the best in London, next to the London Eye, across the Thames from Parliament and Big Ben. The building is historic and quite impressive, but our room had an odd shape, a tiny window looking out at the Eye, and...

Dear Reviewer, Thank you kindly for your feedback. I am pleased to learn that you enjoyed our spectacular location and the service from our staff here at the London Marriott County Hall. I am sorry to learn that the room shape and view did not meet your expectations, and that the selection of snacks in the Executive Lounge was not...

Amazing location! Right on the river across from Big Ben and next to the London Eye. We had a view of the London eye from our window. The entrance has this elegant courtyard when you pull up the hotel. Close to several different underground lines and bus stops so very easy to get around. The hotel structure and lobby feels...

We had a room with a fantastic view of the Thames and Big Ben. Our room was very comfortable and the staff (front desk and concierge) were incredibly helpful. The lounge was kind of marginal, although one could get a free glass of wine, beer or soft drink. Snacks were not appetizing. Breakfast was served off the lobby in what...

Me and my partner went to this hotel for a long weekend to celebrate my partners birthday. We were greeted by a lovely gentleman who instantly took our luggage we were then shown to the check in desk which was very smooth with no hassle. When we got to our room we had a bottle of wine waiting for us...

This is a great place to stay with a family. Practically next door to the London Eye and walking distance to all the other great South Bank activities. We took the children to the aquarium, The Eye, watched a multitude of street entertainers and took the short walk across the bridge to Buckingham for the changing of the guard among...

The location is ideal for a family vacation - we had great views of Big Ben, the London Eye, and the Thames from our room. Many major sites were within walking distance and there are two Tube stations nearby. The room was very spacious by London standards. We had executive lounge access with good breakfast selections in the mornings and...

Marriott County Hall London is in a great location and the staff was attentive. The executive rooms gave us access to a very complete breakfast buffet and lounge with nice amenities (espresso machine - sometimes empty, beer, fruit, afternoon treats). But internet was an extra - even in executive which seems ridiculous at the price paid for the room. This...

Beautiful hotel in a historic building. The staff was very professional and helpful. The food was excellent and the bar tenders are very dedicated to their craft. If you like gin, don't miss the bar, they have over 50 different gins! The Room was spacious and well appointed, including two US outlets, which was nice because we only had three...

Staying in Southbank

Neighbourhood Profile
Southbank
Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the reasons that Southbank is such a collectively cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and festive atmosphere. On top of all the fun stuff to do at Southbank is the opportunity to simply sit back and admire photo-op views of iconic landmarks like Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral, just on across the Thames.
