We had a very short stay over Thanksgiving weekend. I was surprised with the excellent, friendly, attentive service at this hotel. Each and every staff member went out of his/her way to try to be helpful. The location is great for tourists, though the food options are not as great as other parts of London. The rooms are good sized...

Second time we have stayed at this hotel, still yet to disappoint! Staff are always helpful and polite, rooms are lovely (furniture could probably be updated as it can be a bit tired). Breakfast is lovely and the waiters are lovely. Bags took a little while to come up to our room which was only a slight issue as we...

Couldn't have been more impressed. Rooms great. Service great. Restaurant great for lunch and breakfast. Would definitely return. Didn't use the spa or gym. The bar has a wonderful selection of Gins. Pricey, but worth it!

Stayed at County Hall for a two night break with my Husband. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left we were treated to the best customer service experienced - ever. Had stayed here before so knew what to expect but the Thames view from our room still had that wow factor. Every member of staff made sure...

I'm not sure why so many hotels are rated higher than this one. Maybe because the secret isn't out but this hotel first of all has the best staff in the world. No isn't in their vocabulary. They went above and beyond getting me in a room on a floor in a certain area of the building. They have outstanding...

Perfect view of Big Ben and London eye, hotel is in the heart of London.Internet connection is not so good, but food and staff are perfect.Gym and Spa are beautiful. So this hotel I recommend for people who love beautiful view or who doesn't have time to visit London, this way you can still enjoy in London, at least true...

Although the spa facilities were good and the spa staff were nice, I wouldn't come back here again. We had a meal with our package, which was not great, and the cafe area (we weren't allowed in the restaurant, despite pay £230 between us) was freezing - everyone was sat hunched in coats. When I mentioned it to the waitress...

We had a wonderful experience at the Marriott London County Hall. The staff went out of their way to be polite and helpful. We accidentally left a credit card in a cab and a gentleman at the front desk contacted the cab company and got our credit card back for us that night. We had paid for a river view...

I was really looking forward to staying in the hotel and being in the heart of London. The view from the bedroom widonw as to die for... Big Ben lit up.... the stuff of postcards. And the room was a good size, and well laid out. It had the potential to be good. However there were some real incongruities... black...

Staying in Southbank

Neighbourhood Profile
Southbank
Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the reasons that Southbank is such a collectively cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and festive atmosphere. On top of all the fun stuff to do at Southbank is the opportunity to simply sit back and admire photo-op views of iconic landmarks like Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral, just on across the Thames.
