My partner and stayed at this hotel for two nights as part of a city break. The welcome at reception was perfectly informative and additional complimentary extras were offered to us; such as newspapers delivered the next morning, breakfast in bed, plus the DoubleTree Cookie for which we were given a voucher for the next day as they had ran...

This is the best stay I've ever had in London. We had a king room which was very spacious. The bed was lovely, room spotless, bathroom excellent. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great too. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel. Only a short walk from Bayswater and Queensway tube stations and about 20 minute walk to...

Newly refurbished hotel - modern feel - pleasant, helpful staff. Lacks a gym but that was only downside - Hyde Park just across the road! Restaurant / bar mainly functional but good quality and pleasant staff.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We had chosen it for the central location and we found it extremely comfortable. Very comfy beds!! The staff were really helpful no matter how many questions I asked. It was awesome for access to public transport with 3 Underground stations in easy walking distance (use Queensway or Bayswater in preference) and...

Stayed for 7 nights over New Year, moved from premier Inn. Cheaper and better in every way! Rooms great, large tv, hairdryer, coffee machine, ironing board and iron and fridge....empty so can put own food, drinks and snacks in. Oh and free wifi!! Location between Hyde Park and Notting Hill superb, with 3 underground stations within minutes and bus outside....

While this hotel isn't located right downtown London near all the major attractions, we thought it was still a great location for our London stay. We were right across the street from Hyde Park and Kensington Park and could easily reach any other attractions by the tube. Three tube stations are within 5 to 10 minute walking distance. The hotel...

Just back from a fantastic 4 night short break here at the Doubletree Hyde Park. The room was Morden and fresh and also a good size for London hotels. 1 of the best features is the Nespresso coffee machine which my partner and I both loved. The hotel is in a great location a short 2 minute walk through the...

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
