Clean, friendly and convenient. I would recommend this hotel when staying in London. Great location superb staff and affordable. Couldn't ask for much more. Public transportation within a few blocks in either direction. Several great restaurants within walking distance. Located directly across the street from Hyde Park. I would definitely stay again!

A very nice hotel, stayed there for 3 nights. Around 50 minutes from London Gatwick and you can use the train from there for 9 pounds, as far as I remember, to Victoria Station then use the bus or Metro for 1.5 per trip till Queensway (Bus and Metro). I recommend the Oyster card from the airport, it will help...

A very good stay with lovely comfortable bed and although the bathroom and the bath was extremely small, this did not detract from our enjoyment of our stay at the hotel. As usual, the breakfast was excellent and I cannot fault this in any way. If you are able to upgrade to a room overlooking the park as we did,...

As most other reviews, hotel rooms are not huge, but most rooms are really just to sleep in. Bathroom was clean and a very hot and powerful shower was great. The free cookies when booking in were a nice treat and the restaurant was fairly priced with good portion sizes and good service. 5 mins walk to Queensway or 10...

Booked for my boyfriends birthday. Petals on the bed, towel swans, robes & a birthday cheese cake on arrival. Lovely view of the park too. Not far from the Queensway station. Lots of restaurants near by too. Only let down was breakfast price! Highly recommend.

I had booked and pre-paid the room via British Airways, and eventhough I had the voucher stating the room was paid for, they tried to charge me over 400£ for the room. Luckily I discovered that, and could set them straight! The room itself, was not big, but roomy enough. It was clean, and the beds were comfy. We liked...

Double tree by Hilton at Hyde park The hotel is conveniently located about 5 minutes walk from Queensway Station. It is opposite to the Kensington Gardens. Fair size room, can open two 31 inches luggages on the floor and a hand carry but not much room to turn around. There are storage space - a 3 level shelves and a...

Good location, great staff. Would recommend staying as it places you near great parks and tourist locations. Public transportation is close by, and better yet, two great pubs are two your right and left, both within 500 meters of the hotel.

We stayed at the double tree Hilton for a long weekend to celebrate a special birthday and we were well impressed. Choosing a hotel in London is difficult as there as so many but we went with this one as the reviews were good and because of its location opposite Hyde Park. We cannot fault it, the room was lovely...

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
