Family of 4 stayed here for 6 nights in July. We had a club room with a lovely standing balcony overlooking the peaceful courtyard at rear of hotel. Great breakast buffet (included in our rate) and their lobby club lounge had evening "happy hour" appetizers and drinks, along with comfy seating and computers for use. Very friendly staff working the...

Loved this hotel. We stayed total of 6 nights. We upgraded and had acces to their little club lounge on the lobby floor. We had breakfast included there and it was fairly good, drinks 24 hours and wine during happy hour. Loved the service. Everyone was very helpful at this hotel. From the waiters to the concierge. The location across the street from Gloucester tube station and the supermarket is good. The service is a bit so-and-so, a some stumbling in the check-in, even though it was luckily possible to check in early. The executive club, I don't find it worth it. All rooms have free wifi anyway and you can pay for the breakfast separately or...

I agree: location, just across the street from Gloucester Road Underground station is wonderful. But it is not only that. Having being a month ago in a hotel one block from it, I can say that the relation between price and value is better. Not only the rooms (and we were not upgraded to a Club level, as other times)...

My family and I had stayed at this hotel three times previously when it was a Holiday Inn, and having been happy previously, we decided to try it in its Crowne Plaza reincarnation. The location is perfect, with plenty of eating choices nearby, a Waitroses grocery across the street, and good old Gloucester Road station--with its good connections--a minute's walk...

I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Kensington for 6 nights on vacation from the US with my husband and a large group of friends. The hotel and staff were wonderful! The hotel is conveniently located across the street from the tube, Burger King, KFC, Starbucks and a grocery store (museums and the famous Harrods are within a short walk too)....

I stayed at the Crown Plaza for 4 nights with three teenagers. The hotel was in a great location and across the street from Tube Station, Grocery Store, Starbucks and plenty of restaurants. Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
