Nice hotel. The room was comfortable and well placed for the Royal Albert Hall (which is in walking distance). Beds were comfortable and the room was nice and quiet. Great if you are only looking for something reasonably basic but decent quality. On the downside, breakfast cost £7.50 each and didn't seem worth it as only continental and not much...

I decided to book here after seeing what a good location it had. It is a three minute walk from Gloucester road station and thirty seconds to the natural history museum. We knew we wouldn't be in the hotel a huge amount of time so it sounded ideal, we arrived and were given our key. The room was small but...

Very small room, but for a short stay no problem. Fast and easy checkin, decent breakfast. Clearliness did leave something to be desired, overall clean, but not behind the bed. Some staff very friendly, others a bit less. Excellent location.

Stayed mid week for Albert Hall concert, such a noisy hotel, unfortunately we had a room over looking the cromwell Rd but it was not the road noise but it sounded like someone banging the internal pipework through out the night, terrible nights sleep. Very hard beds. The rooms are very small so dont go swing any cats as you...

I'm between a 2 and 3 for the overall review. For starters, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the location was relatively close to the Gloucester Rd tube station. The staff, on the other hand, needs a lesson in simple courtesies including greeting a guest. A simple "hello" goes a long way (accompanied with a smile). Called...

Booked a single initially and then changed to a twin. I was amazed to find a room so small that there was no where to put my large suitcase. The hotel is clean and very well positioned , the fish tank in reception was quirky and very unique, loved it

5 minutes from the Albert Hall, this great hotel provides everything you need for the night. The reception/bar/breakfast area is large enough, works well, and is smart, and the service is attentive. Rooms are quite small - including the bathroom - but nicely (and recently) decorated. I faced the road and didn't find noise an issue: I kept the window...

A perfect location for anyone visiting London. Natural History Museum and the V&A just a short walk away. We didn't have breakfast as there are some great little cafes just by Gloucester Road tube. Are the rooms small? well, yes, but then this is central London and the price reflects this and lets face it, anyone visiting London as a...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
