Best quality hotel in London we have stayed in for months. Great facilities, very friendly staff great restaurant/bar (+ breakfast catering) plus superb location (especially for Tate Britain (a few hundred yards away!) but also any sights in Westminster and, if feeling energetic, only about two miles to the West End shows etc.!

Great location close to Tower of London and Tube Station. Stayed for a weekend and was really impressed with the bright airy spacious lobby, we were upgraded to a Hilton Honours room on the 7th floor which had all mod cons. Room was exceptionally, staff were very friendly and accommodating and spending an evening on the hottest day of the...

This hotel is in a good location but apart from that is fairly average. I am a Hilton Honors member and had booked this hotel direct with the website as I always do, with my usual credit card. However, I started getting emails three days before my stay saying there was a problem with my credit card and they would...

The hotel was easy to find after taking the Metro and just a couple of blocks away from the London Tower Bridge. They gave us a cookie at check-in. there was free water in the room. We expected a noce view from the room, but instead we got the inner "patio" showing the mechanical equipment as ac units.

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
