Average hotel, expensive for what it is, service wasn't fast, poor checkin and bad bedroom views. That all said, the roof top bar is fantastic - if not very expensive. Well worth it tho. If in area I would go to the bar alone on a nice day.

Efficient and friendly check-in on arrival, and efficent check out when you are leaving. Easy? May be. But not for all hotels I have stayed at. Quiet room, with good bed. Nice breakfast restaurant. The staff make the difference when you stay with Hilton. Always a warm welcome.

good location for a city tour. Kind staff, pleasant environment either for leisure or for business purposes. Rich selection of items for breakfast, though chances are high for queuing up for a while before getting to a table. Wonderful view from the bar on the top of the building.

Very pleasant stay at a great price. Good location with all central London easy enough by tube. Loved the warm cookie and free drink voucher on check in. Breakfast was excellent. The beds were comfy and quiet. Skylounge on 12th floor is a lovely area for a drink with good views and mood lighting. Overall a great choice!

Stayed here for three nights in April. Bit of a glitch at check in but was sorted quickly. Staff on reception friendly and welcoming. Mixture of guests midweek a lot of business residents and more touristy over weekend. So handy for Tower Hill underground and great for walking along the Thames. Breakfast excellent with lots of choice and all very...

This hotel is an absolute standout when it comes down to customer service. We checked in on easter weekend and it was very busy. We never expected everybody to be so friendly. Can highly recommend this hotel. Had no complaints at all apart from the lifts were slightly annoying. You have to put your key card in take out and then press your floor level. It didn't always work and lots of people didn't realise you had to insert key card for lifts to work. The hotel is literally minutes walk from...

I stayed here on an overnight layover when returning to Chicago from Madrid. The location is about two blocks from the Tower Hill station, making it very easy to get to.The check-in was efficient, and every staff member I encountered was very friendly. And who doesn't love being handed cookies upon check-in? The room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast...

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
