We booked here as we were going to the David Bowie exhibition and it was right by the Victoria and Albert Museum where it was being held. The room was clean and had all that you needed for a comfortable stay. The bar was friendly as was all the staff could not fault them at all. We had a meal...

We only stayed overnight after seeing the Proms one evening (prime location for the Royal Albert Hall) but that night was spent in the lap of luxury! The breakfast was superb, the waiters were fast and attentive. The only negative aspect was taking afternoon tea in the lounge; the prices were extortionate and toddlers were allowed to run all over...

Stayed at The Rembrandt the week before Christmas of 2012. The location was excellent. It was walking distance to Harrods and the tube. We easily took the tube from the airport and did not have to change trains. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was fantastic. The rooms were small, but that was expected. I would definitely return, and...

Dear Lonna4591 Thank you for reviewing The Rembrandt. I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us in December 2012. We have fantastic transportation links to the rest of the capital, as we are located between two underground stations, South Kensington and Knightsbridge, both of which are on the Piccadilly line which runs directly to Heathrow Airport. Stayed in the hotel for 3 nights during business meetings. The location is EXCELLENT. Everything at ur doorstep. Friendly and helpful staff. Genuinely kind. My room was fine if a bit close to the elevator and hence slightly noisy. The bathroom was huge for London standards. The rest of the room was on the small side but for London to...

I stay here a lot for work, as it is so convenient for both my office on Brompton Road and also the many good places to eat nearby. It is pretty good value compared to similar hotels nearby. The rooms are on the small side, and occasionally you get one that hasn't been refurbished and is therefore a bit shabby,...

Would definitely stay here again on returning to London! Location: Hotel is literally opposite the V&A museum and close to south Kensington tube station. Location is good as it's a nice area, safe but is a decent way from Oxford street, Leicester square etc... About a 1/2hr to 40 minute walk but an easy tube ride. Rooms: Comfortable but a...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
