Location, location, location! The place is close to a lot of attractions in Zone 1, and has a couple of railway stations too nearby, making it easy to go around London. However, right now, the Lancaster Gate station is closed for repairs until July 2017 so one can use the Bayswater station. Tourist attractions like The Albert Hall, The Natural...

Booked on line and due to the price I paid for a central London hotel was not expecting a great experience. Check in was a pleasant experience. Room spacious Breakfast was delicious. Cooked to order and excellent service.

Stayed here for 2 nights for a 2 day weekend conference. Positives: friendly staff, pretty good breakfast, reasonable (for London!!) rates, good location, close to 2/3 Tube stations Negatives: booking system & rooms need modernisation The booking system desperately needs modernisation (all done on paper, seemingly) as I was allocated a triple single bed room (after I had requested a...

I actually couldn't believe the hotels great location directly opposite Hyde Park, fantastic!!!! I stayed 1 night in a single room for a training course, the floorboards were a bit squeaky and I could hear next doors plumbing but my fault I forgot my earplugs! Free English breakfast which was totally fine. I'd stay here again, the weird thing with...

I recently stayed in the columbia on a business trip as part of a school tour, we found the hotel to be very antique and maybe the facilities could do with a little updating but it was nice to feel you were in old london. I didn't quite understand why the staff placed you where to sit depending on what...

The Columbia has a fantastic history. It was once used as a military hotel back in the 1970's. However, the hotel seems to be stuck in the past. The bathrooms are the same avocado green as they were back in the 1970's and the water pressure was not dependable...one of our rooms never delivered in terms of a hot shower....

I read reviews that stated this hotel was at the on off bus stop. It is right in front. I read that a woman enjoyed looking out her room window to view the lively park. This was a beautiful view from my room as well. I read that the breakfast was delicious. It is delicious, pleantiful, and the service is...

For the price this hotel offered a good location. There were a few negatives; hotel is dated in places it need not be, I know the hotel is trying to keep some historical charm but the bathroom in our room was in need of renovation. The closest tube stop is also closed until July this year which meant a longer...

Stayed for a 3 night break March 2017. Booked a triple room (3 singles) which happened to be on the 4th floor. Only 2 lifts available; one near to reception and the other - a much smaller lift - near the bar. Both were slow and could do with updating. Our room was long and narrow with one round window...
