We like this hotel because of it's proximity to Earls Court on the Piccadilly Line. We appreciate the service we received from the checkin staff. Upgraded room was ver nice and the staff very pleasant to deal with. We have stayed here many times. Will continue to stay here because of location...not the quality of the place. Compared to other...

Stayed here while in London for two days of meetings. Marriott never disappoints. My room, 221, was clean, well appointed, and maintained. Would have rated the hotel a five except for two complaints: air conditioning didn't control room temperature very well. And the room windows overlooked the brightly lit marquee over the entrance. The red lights cast an uncomfortable glow...

As Platinum, we got early (9 AM) check-in to a large room (junior suite?). Raoul Le Joncour at reception was superb and we hope Marriott recognizes his great customer service. Our room looked out over the backside of the hotel & was quiet. Would suggest trying to avoid rooms looking over busy Cromwell Street. No issues in the room with...

Our room was extremely clean. The hotel was very nicely maintained. Breakfast was delicious. Staying here while in London was perfect. The price was affordable and the location was perfect. We were able to get around very easily. The staff were all very friendly. I cant wait to go back with my husband.

The special lounge for premier Marriott customers was very nice and cozy with wonderful hors d'oeuvres and we met several very nice fellow travelers while there. The breakfast is absolutely wonderful, so be sure to book you room to include that.

I stayed couple of times at Marriott Kensington. First time, besides it was freezing in the room and quite cold in the breakfast area, I enjoyed my stay and the services were pretty ok. This was the main reason why I wanted to return again, for my next business trip. But the second time it was quite disappointing for multiple...

I had a week long stay at this hotel on a work trip and very much enjoyed the staff and location of the hotel. Across the street was a Sainbury's which was great to pick up some snacks or other items I forgot to pack. Two blocks away was the Earl's Court Underground station. From here, I could get anywhere...

A good hotel on the picadilly line near earls court. Room was roomy with nice bathroom. Had US style plug so that was nice. Breakfast is lounge was good with nice selection. Hotel restaurant was deserted. It did have a nice burger. Have to walk about 10 mins to glouster street to find some restaurants. I would return.

We stayed at the London Marriott Hotel Kensington from December 26, 2014 - January 2, 2015. We arrived on Boxing day around 8am, were given a room immediately (my husband did call prior to let them know we were arriving very early) and that was a major bonus!!! The next bonus was our room #604…I believe its a family room,...

There must be an easy way to find the meeting rooms or perhaps we came in the wrong entrance, but the signs could be improved. Once in the room though it was a modern, and well appointed with plenty of technology that seemed to work without too much fuss.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
