The hotel itself is in a great location and only 10 minutes walk from oxford street etc however the hotel needs a bit of improving. There was work getting carried out on the hotel when we went, the rooms were average and the shower and bathroom was okay. Breakfast was really good but when we went we had to share...

This hotel is great for basic needs. My friend and I travelled here in September 2012. It was our first time east of the Atlantic. This hotel has seen better days BUT it is close to the metro line, the British Museum (which is free), and the beds were comfortable when we stayed. This hotel is also fairly quiet and...

We stayed at this hotel as part of a trip to see a show in he West End. The location was great - only 15 minutes to theatre land. Unfortunately we found the hotel was in need of some updating. The room was in need of decorating although the facilities were all there. Breakfast was disappointing. The tables are too...

We stayed for 3 days = 2 nights. We ate in their restaurant the first night, which was a complimentary 3 course carvery. Services and facilities were good and clean, but nothing was exceptional. Was what we needed, so adequate.

Spent 5 nights here for business. It is not a fancy hotel but it is clean, user friendly and in a very convenient location - right next to Russell Square station on the Piccadilly line. I didn't eat or drink at any of the bars or restaurants other than the included breakfast which was good. Staff were helpful when I...

Sadly this Hotel, like many others in the capital is expensive and doesn't live up to its price tag. It comes across as a Hotel that is trading on its glory days and is vastly under invested in. I can forgive the dark tired reception, the thin, undersized duvet, the single bedside cabinet in a double room, the lack of...

I was on third floor front of hotel and the noise was horrendous!.The room and bed linen was clean but little irritating things, such as no intructions for odd TV(necessitated call to desk), no coffee, curtains didn't fit so room was draughtyetc. Some staff good, others aloof. Breakfast tried to cram you into their rows to eat rather than at...

Stopped at this hotel with family whilst my grandson was in Great Ormond street hospital for an operation. I first tried to book it over the phone with central reservations, after several minutes it was obvious that I was wasting my time due to the difficulty understanding the lady's language. I resorted back to booking on line, 2 twin rooms,...

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Imperial Hotel is the flagship of Imperial London Hotels. We're proud of it for a reason. Offering breathtaking views over London's greatest public square, it reflects every ounce of our dedication to service and value. Like all our hotels, the Imperial combines a remarkable location with the great facilities and friendly service of a family-run business. At the Imperial, though, while the price remains extremely reasonable, we add an extra dash of something special. The location is remarkable, connecting guests to the rest of London in minutes. In addition to the central Atrium Bar & Cafe, facilities include a casino and a gift shop. Restaurants and cafes offer plenty of choice to families and business travellers alike. Indulge in the intriguing delights of Coffee and Candy. Enjoy a late night at the Night and Day Bar, serving classic pub fare at great prices. And relax; we've been doing this since 1837, and we know how to make your stay a restful one. ... more   less
