Upon staying at this hotel i was extremely disappointed at the service from the rather unfriendly and rude Russian man on reception. He was dangerous looking and looked like he had just came out of the gym. He wasn't at reception at first so we had to wait a while for him to appear from upstairs. It was a wet...

There's always an element of uncertainty about staying at a new hotel, however much research you've done, but any lingering doubts were dispelled before I'd reached the reception area. From the doorstep, along the ground-level corridor, and up the staircase, everything was sparkling clean, crisp and contemporary. I waited a couple of minutes for the receptionist to arrive, but could...

The hotel is in a good location, less than 10 minutes walk to Baker Street tube station. I was upgraded from a single to a double on arrival, which was a bonus. The basement room was spacious and clean, but could do with some redecoration. If the walls were repainted and the threadbare sofa replaced, it could be a lovely...

Really clean comfortable and spacious room. Good value central location. We had room 12 at the back of the hotel and could not believe how quiet it was. No traffic noise although in the heart of London. Staff are friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back and recommend.

Very nice hotel, right in the city center. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel and Baker street tube station is a 2 minute walk away. There are many shops, restaurants, cafes and mini markets near by, as well as the famous Sherlock Holmes museum, The hotel itself is quite clean and very quiet, rooms are...

Upon arriving at the reception I was greeted (or, rather, not greeted) by a tall man in his 40s who gave me the key to my room as if he was doing me a favour. He didn't ask to check my documents and as I've always been asked at other places before, I asked if he wanted to see my...

I visited this hotel for a two day stay with my wife and kids. The location is good. The beds are really aweful. The badroom was dirty. The employees at the reception are very unfriendly Russian-like men, who barely speak English. When we checked in and when we checked out the receptionist kept sitting in his office with loud music,...

Close to Baker Street underground and therefore within easy reach of anywhere in central London, these small apartments are basically but well furnished: A comfortable bed, decent TV, kitchen area, a table and a rather small shower room (with complimentary toiletries) and it's all clean. Only downside is that hotel is alongside a busy road and a 24 hour bus...

Good location, with great value for a London hotel. Room was clean and had good wifi despite being at the basement. Room was upgraded from a single to a double. However all this was marred by an intrusion in the night by a staff. As a single traveller, I didn't want all the light off in the room and thus...

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
