Perfect location near Paddington + within easy reach of Hyde Park. Norfolk Square is a quiet and elegant haven and ideal as a base for sightseeing. A wonderful hotel with a really friendly, welcoming and caring atmosphere. Very nice room and the staff very helpful! We'd definitely go back again in the future. The room wasn't large but tastefully decorated,...

The hotel is a three minute walk away from Paddington, making it a very good choice if you're travelling to / from Heathrow and need an economy class hotel. Rooms are not spacious, but I've paid more for smaller hotel rooms in London. Breakfast was included in our deal (simple buffet), for a surcharge you can have the Full English....

Paying extra for internet was annoying, and a class of students were staying above me resulting in several calls to reception consecutive nights. Great location, around the corner from paddington ! Stairs are crazy steep. Would look at other hotels in the area (several)

Best location, next to tube. Old (without renovation) rooms with very small WC. Odors from WC not bearable. Smelly place. Breakfast and personnel was ok. The heating was not enough. TV was adequate. We selected it only due to its price but weren't satisfied

We are an Italian family and we stayed in Shakespeare Hotel for 4 nights. Great location near the most famous London's attractions, the surroundings are full of restaurants and pubs. Nice rooms, very clean and very nice staff. Good full English breakfast We will for sure come back Alessandra

Budget hotels in London are difficult to find but the Shakespeare Hotel near Paddington Station is just right. I had a very nice late-night welcome - my room was small but clean and compact. Probably most suitable for a few days stay. Be aware of the stairs if you are higher than the first floor! Plenty of breakfast and cooked...

First of all let me start off saying this is a great hotel if you just need somewhere to put your head down. It is in a fantastic location (which can boast a minute or 2 walk from Paddington underground/ Train station.) As I stayed on my own in the hotel, I booked a single room; which I found to...

Overall, the hotel was fine. The location was great, the people were nice. On the other hand, the beds were not that comfortable and the breakfast could have been better. We already knew there was no elevator, but still it's something they should put in the website. That's another thing: even though the website said there was free wifi in...

Because of the price, the hotel was correct, but I can tell you the things I didn't like: The sink was too small. Breakfast wasn't enough... Too much noise from other rooms... And the person that attended us when we arrived wasn't very nice...

This is a cheap hotel but anyone booking here should know that. It is a good price but thrown in is a few added bonuses: breakfast daily, close to paddington station, an open top bus stop and regular bus stops. This hotel was clean and a room on the first floor was quiet and not too many stairs with one's...
