We purchased a voucher from Wowcher for Afternoon Tea for 4, and followed the booking procedure of purchasing the voucher and then calling the hotel direct to book. Whilst on the phone, the lady asked for the voucher number and confirmed our booking for a Sunday afternoon. On arrival at the hotel, myself and 2 others we were shown to...

Overall it was a pleasant stay in a nice London location. The hotel was nicely presented with old world charm with staff for who nothing was too much trouble. Check in was smooth but disliked the requirement to take a 50 pound deposit against extras which makes you feel like WE DO NOT TRUST YOU, other hotels I use in...

Booked for three nights and was shocked to find our "deluxe" room was in the basement with no natural light, loads of creaking floor noise from the lobby above, and a stinking bathroom. A lot of London hotels are really shabby, so if you want to be comfortable stay in a well known brand - preferably a US chain as...

I just got home after a short visit to London and my third year of staying at The Leonard. It is a hotel just a couple of blocks off of Oxford St at Marble Arch. Very convenient to the busses and Tube, and yet it's on a quiet street. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating and the rooms...

We visited The Leonard on a Saturday evening using a Wowcher for 3x courses and a bottle of wine for two for £39 . Meet and greet was excellent and we had a nice table by the window. Service was good throughout although we did seem to wait awhile between order placement and receiving the first course. The food was...

Good location, attentive staff, but needs freshening up, tiered looking. I was given the room in the basement, which was tacky in its decor. Not good value at all for £200 a night. Will avoid next time I'm in London.

Just enjoyed afternoon tea with a group of friends. The surroundings were pleasant, the staff friendly and attentive. The food was very delicious, especially the scones and jam! The tea was hot and fresh and plentiful. I would thoroughly recommend the experience, which was excellent value for money with the voucher for 4.

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
