I've been looking for a perfect London hotel for about a year. This place has it all #1) easy walk to the Central line going straight to the financial district, #2) this is THE BEST area in London for 5 star restaurants (Murano, Scotts). You can entertain in the evening and walk 2-3 blocks back to the hotel. Lovely quiet...

We were fairly happy at this hotel, which was our first visit to this Marriott. Our requirements were more than met by the hotel. The location is perfect, a few blocks away from the Bond tube station, lots of shops and restaurants nearby and very central. If you stay here, make sure you visit St. Christopher Place, a small area...

Stayed here for 4 nights in October. The hotel was clean, well run, and met all of our needs. We had a king bed with an interior view. No view of mention, but even with the windows open it was quiet enough to sleep well. The room as not large, but by London standards it was a good size. Plenty...

Arrived at 8 am. flew in from Chicago so I was jet lagged. Already had a reservation but was informed that my room wouldn't be ready before noon, probably around 2 or 3pm. I asked reception to find me any available club room which they found with additional charges, I'm a gold member, no upgrade!!!!! The room was nice and...

Only stay here if you don't mind load party music from the function room. We arrived with jet lag only to have to listen to the music from the function room till the early hours. Saturday night was worse, could not hear the TV in the room for the music. When I complained the desk staff were sympathetic but blamed...

Outstanding staff. Friendly, helpful and more than made us feel at home. We had an executive king room. It was very large and very comfortable. Just a block from Oxford St. Never had to wait for a taxi. Very close to Bond street tube station and marble arch bus station. Highly recommended and hope to return some day.

Location of the hotel is excellent and breakfast was lovely too but for a 5 star this wasn't great. We were put in the smallest room on our floor. The bed had a clumsy bed frame which was too big for the room and we fell over it and banged our legs on it constantly. Bed was comfortable though. Only...

Having attended several events here previously I thought I'd stay at the hotel this time. Weddings, conferences, and business meetings have always been well managed and nicely catered here. But what a disappointment as a hotel guest. Firstly the front desk staff did nothing to recognize Marriott platinum status and I was given the smallest room on the floor according...

I stayed here for four nights, i am about to check out soon. It is appalling to note the service at this superbly located hotel. Certainly not befitting the Marriott brand. As a frequent user of Marriott hotels worldwide, i found this hotel to be very low on various counts especially with its service. Old property with faded carpets and...

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
