This was the first I had been to a Marriott Hotel, and for me it was fantastic. Our room was very spacious (It included a sofa and a coffee table) and the bed was extremely comfortable. Given how close the hotel is to Regent Street, it was very quiet. We had dinner at Gordon Ramsay's Maze Restaurant which you can...

We had a nice stay at the London Marriott Grosvenor Square between Christmas and NYE 2016. We had reserved an extra large executive room with a king bed and sofa bed. This included access to the executive lounge. This was for myself, my husband and our daughter. At first we were given a very small room with no sofa bed....

Arrived on a Thursday night about 8:30pm. No doorman. As our driver is unloading the bags, I am waving like a fool to security. Eventually, a "doorman" arrives. He was busy talking to some young pretty thing. Our room looked like what I think a Moscow prison might resembles. NO carpet but a very cold wood floor and a bathroom...

My 5th time at the property. As usual, a good quality room, fair price, great location for shopping, access to the Tube, restaurants and nightlife. I recommend the hotel, for not only vacation as Business. The Gordon Ramsey Restaurant (Grille) has consistently bad service although the food is good, however Maze is great.

This hotel has a great location in the middle of the London hot spots, 4mins from Bond Street Tube Station. We booked using our marriott points and were treated with an extra special touch by them providing a birthday cake for my wife. The team looked after us nicely with the usual Marriott style. The Luggage Room was a very...

The hotel needs a refurbish. Showing its age, with tarnishing furnishings and dirty carpets. The whole hotel smells of overly perfumed disinfectant. The basement (no windows) executive lounge is comparable to what you'd find at a moderately priced Marriott anywhere in the U.S., so very disappointing in Mayfair in London. The service is friendly but distracted. A request (from a...

I stay here every time I come to London whether on business or pleasure, and I can say that 99% of the time (only one time that I was disappointed in the service, but the hotel did its best and rectified the issue) the service is impeccable . The beds are comfy , the linens are high quality, and the...

Good hotel for an overnight stop. We arrived every late and left early as we were at a function at Claridge's across the road, but our room was a decent size, had a comfortable enough bed and all the necessary amenities for a good stay. Breakfast is worthy of a positive mention. No complaints at all.

We reserved a suite over New Year Weekend - we were desperate for somewhere to stay and the the thought of a suite compensated for the excessive room rate. The room was a mere King Room - albeit with an outside space - which is usseless in winter unless you are a smoker and like being overlooked on three sides...

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
