The hotel photos had clearly not been taken in our room which was dark and poky with a window which was too high up to see out of. The lighting didn't improve in the bathroom either, with no light on the mirror, unlike the hotel photos!...More
We took our travel agents advise and booked at The Cromwell. Yes, the rooms are on the small size. But for the price and location I guess that would be right. The hotel was very well run. Great reception staff, very friendly and helpful. The...More

A fine hotel with very nice rooms and great rates. The best bit is the location. Right by the tube with piccadilly, circle and District lines. The staff can't do enough make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. All in all brilliant for tourists

With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming
and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
Easy to get from Heathrow. The Cromwell is just around the corner from Gloucester Road Station on the Picadilly tube Line which goes directly to Heathrow. The Cromwell is not a luxury hotel, but ok for a couple of days.
