Good location for people wanting to visit the National History museum, Harrods and the V and A as they are just a few minutes down the road. Good sound proofing on the room but the AC unit in the actual room was very noisy. Very small rooms but that is standard in London, clean and the breakfast buffet had an...

Second time at the BW Cromwell Steet and stayed for two nights over remembrance weekend. Got good value room rates with breakfast via web search. Close to Royal Albert Hall and South Kensington and Gloucester Road tubes very close. Room was a basement one and better than the one we had to change last time due to mustiness. The room...

The Cromwell is near a tube stop (5 min walk), is clean, has a nice staff, has a small bar, and is near a few good restaurants and pubs. Rooms are generally small but not out of line with other London hotels. I would recommend this for couples or single travelers.

This hotel is situated perfectly for the museums of London. It is very close to a tube station and lies on the Piccadilly Line so easy to get to theatre district and Covent Garden. The hotel itself is great. A continental and full English breakfast buffet was included in the price and staff are very friendly and helpful. We arrived...

Although I have stayed here before it is really a hotel for short business stays when you are likely to be spending most of your time in meetings and looking for somewhere to sleep at night. The rooms are fairly basic with sometimes small and awkward shaped bathrooms. I had a garden room (which had a large decked outside area...

This has always been our choice of stay in London for the location and the clean rooms. It isn't as big as some of the other hotels along this road but the beds are comfortable, bathrooms ver clean and the staff are helpful enough.

The reception staff were polite but abrupt and not at all welcoming. The room was in the basement, was very small and claustrophobic. The bathroom was so small that if you bent down, you would burn yourself on the radiator. However, everywhere was clean, the beds comfortable and it was good to have a kettle for making tea/coffee/chocolate. It was...

Dear Divasboss, Thank you very much for leaving your review. We do have larger rooms at Best Western Cromwell however due to availability we were unable to upgrade guests on this occasion. For that I apologise. Once again thank you for leaving your comment. Kind regards Hotel Manager

I recently stayed at this hotel with my grandparents (we had 2 rooms) Our room was fine - very tiny. Hardly room to get dressed. But had a nice decking and table and chairs outside (and we were on the first floor) the air con/ heating unit was very loud but kept the room warm for us. Bed was comfortable...

My wife and I stayed here whilst in London for a few days. We booked using our Avios points and, because it was classed as a 4 star hotel by Avios, we had high expectations. Fundamentally this isn't a 4 star hotel. To be fair to the Best Western, they don't claim it is so it's our own fault for...

Staff on arrival were rude and abrupt. We certainly did not feel welcome. They take a test purchase before charging your card. So it makes it look like your being charged twice. Rooms are small and dingy. Lights don't go off when you take your card out of the holder. Rainfall Shower which was pretty decent drips after use so...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
