Having visited more many 4 star hotels in London during the past 20 years, this hotel is by far the greatest experience. A relatively new and modern hotel located centrally in South Kensington with the Underground directly to the door. Compared to the price this hotel is highly recommended.

I have had better hotels with half a price. Hot water tap tightened so that I couldn't open it. The maintenance opened it with trouble after which it came clear why it was tightened: the tap licked. It was not fixed but totally tried to be closed. I had to give also a notice of the lamp out-of-order. It was...

Good Points: Clean. Professional and pleasant staff. Excellent location. Nice rooms, large comfortable. Nice facility overall. Seems to cater to the elite based on the cars waiting for valet parking. But you can get it at reasonable rates (for the area). Not so good points: The shower head is abnormally low. I'm 5'11" and I had to stoop to rinse...

The check in staff was friendly and helpful. I stayed in room 414 which was ok but rather dated. It faces the conservatory and is right next to the service door. So it's rather noisy in the morning when the housekeeping staff start pushing their trolleys. Room is rather dark and can do with more lighting. Breakfast restaurant is chaotic...

Great central location only 100 metres to Gloucester Road Station. (Please note the Piccadilly line is currently not running from this station at the moment.) Good Amenities and room comfortable. Only had two issues, one being the air conditioning was not cool enough and the laundry service was very expensive. I still would recommended this hotel to anyone staying in...

Stayed in the hotel for four nights during a short visit to London. It is in an ideal location, literally round the corner from Gloucester Road underground and within walking distance of the V&A and Natural History Museum. The immediate area has numerous eateries and shops of all kinds. Good-sized rooms and clean. Yes, it may need some refurbishment but...

Do not bother wasting your money staying at an over priced over rated hotel. We stayed at many hotels during our stay in London and this was the most unpleasant. We stayed in this hotel for a week (unfortunately) Firstly, the staff are useless. Our rooms weren't cleaned for THREE DAYS in a row. The housekeeper pitched up at 5pm...

This hotel has appalling wi-fi connection making it impossible to do work. Have had three rooms with poor connection and even the staff admit it is something from the dark ages. Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
