The renovation at The Gore are completed! We invite you to come (or come back) to experience our newly renovated luxury boutique hotel in the heart of South Kensington! Established in 1892, The Gore – Starhotels Collezione oozes history from every pore, with a story to tell from every room. The 50 lavishly-appointed bedrooms range from Classic and Superior rooms through Deluxe Doubles and Junior Suites to the signature Tudor Room. All are individually furnished with hand-picked pieces, period pictures and ornate feature beds. The food at The Gore comes under the guiding hand of dynamic French Michelin starred Chef Daniel Galmiche, whose classic British cuisine is delivered with a contemporary French twist and a rustic charm. The Bar 190, best known as the location for the launch and photoshoot for The Rolling Stones’ 1968 album Beggars Banquet, plays host to an extensive range of spirits, with notably large collections of whiskies and rums.

South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.

Hugely anticipated visit and the whole experience was absolutely worth it!
Expensive but very good value. Some neurological challenges for disabled folk are to be expected in older buildings and these were met with very kind and dignified assistance from staff. Very grateful in

Stayed at the gore last November. Good location we had to see a concert in the royal Albert hall and the gore hotel is literally minutes away. Great staff with great humour. Check in was quick and easy Ajay and the other concierge were great. He offered me to see two different ro

Reception and downstairs rooms fine, faded antique chic, we were welcomed promptly but found it difficult to understand the staff whose first language wasn't English. After travelling to 4th floor room in very old lift was slightly disappointed with our room. Overlooking the road

Dear Beryl S, thank you for your feedback. Please note that we have 50 different rooms at the Gore and you may choose the one that most suits your needs. We have just completed the first part of our refurbishment project with lovely deluxe and Junior Suites and we will continue our Classic and Superior rooms from December 2018. Room 411 is usually chosen by guests who prefer a very quiet room as it is away from the lift and from the street noise; perhaps a bigger room would have met your expectations on this occasion. Please do contact the reception team to discuss your preferences when you will be staying with us next. I am sure you do appreciate that in all hotels worldwide the minibar prices are not "retail" prices and our minibar prices are very convenient considering other hotels around the area. With pleasure we can offer you some biscuits to enjoy with your tea upon request. Regards, Cristina R. Hotel Manager The Gore Hotel - Starhotels Collezione

Hotel is well located to visit the the Royal Albert Hall as well as other historic attractions. Helpful staff. Sound proof of rooms is an issue. We stayed on the 5th floor. Noise from passages, upstairs and next door. A pity. Otherwise we had a goid time

We are staying at The Gore in May, I have sent two emails requesting a reservation in your Restaurant, as it is our Anniversary. I have not had a answer, is there any particular person I should email. Phone calls are expensive from Australia. Thank you
The name of the manager is Cristina but I don't have a direct mail address. I successfully booked a table in the restaurant using the mail address which is on the restaurant page of the website rather than the main hotel mail address,

Does the hotel have parking?
Also the Royal Garden Hotel Car park mentioned is more a 10 min walk and the Car park entrance is horribly narrow - like being on a helter skelter as it curves down under ground.

I don't know of any rooms big enough. have you spoken to reception - they are really helpful. I'm sure they will be able to answer better than me.
