Value for money this hotel isn't worth it, if you don't absolutely need to stay in Notting Hill I can't see how anyone would pay the price they charge. Old hotel, paper thick walls, everything is creaking and no lift so plan on carrying your luggage up the narrow stairs - not the best choice for a business traveller

I'm not sure if I missed it when making the reservation but there is no elevator. Our room was up 65 steps (yes we had many opportunities to count them) - there is no assistance with bags. Toilet seat was broken when we got there. Broke again the next day after it was supposedly fixed. Shower also needed attention and...

This is a lovely small hotel, on a fairly quiet stretch of road, whilst also being in a very convenient spot, just two minutes walk from Notting Hill Gate tube station. I had a lovely little single room, with a good sized bathroom, heated towel rail and lovely soft towels. A cosy room with a radiator, coffee, tea, and bottled...

Positives: Location - 30 seconds walk from the tube and plenty of places to eat in the area. Wifi - Cannot fault the internet connection. Staff - Both employees I met were very helpful and cheerful, not something you get everywhere. Bed - Nice comfy Bed (room 20) Negatives: Decor - In serious need to a face lift. For £140...

Recently stayed at this hotel during a business trip. The location is conveniently located to Notting Hill tube, Portobello Road is a 15 minute walk, and there are several good restaurants and pubs in the hotel's immediate neighborhood. This is a great place if you know London, know how to get around, and want something where you won't be bothered...

Book my visit here due to location. ..my daughter lives in Nottinghill. Was expecting something a bit brighter at first, as seen online...my single room was very very tiny but the bathroom was roomy and updated. Service was impeccable, providing me with bottled water daily and lovely turndown each evening. Management was friendly and helpful. ...I choose not to include...

Beautifully presented older style hotel located in a beautiful area of Notting Hill / Kensington. The staff were friendly and accomodating. We had a spacious room with traditionally styled furniture and our four posted bed was a winner, unfortunately there was no A/C however the fans worked a treat and we could open the windows if needed and were fortunate...

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and polite. Ideal location for underground, a nice quiet street just off the main road. Lovely old traditional building, just a shame the room didn't live upto expectations. The place could do with a good lick of paint to say the least. Reading other reviews it looks like you should avoid room...

We recently stayed 4 nights at the Abbey Court Notting Hill. It is in a very convenient location, just down the road for Notting Hill Gate tube station, round the corner from Portobello Rd and a short walk to Kensington Gardens. The staff were very pleasant and eager to help in any way. We were staying during a warm patch...

I stay here every time I go to London. Charming boutique hotel - only around 20 rooms - , free internet on desktop in lobby (big plus for me), steps from the Tube, good/safe neighborhood, friendly accommodating staff. You can walk to the Portobello Market and many restaurants and shops. The hotel is in a 1860 townhome - each room...

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
