My sister and I stayed at the hotel while on a vacation to London. Let me start off by saying that our room and bathroom was very nice. However, some of the staff were a little rude. On our first morning in London we went to the concierge to convert our money into pounds. The man working quoted us a...

The Strand Palace is a bit tired, to be honest. Public areas are okay, but once you get into corridors and rooms it could do with some sprucing up. Everything provided worked as it should. I found the hotel very noisy, even a room on the back of the hotel (which the check in guy said was in the quiter...

Had previously stayed at the Strand Palace and it has definitely gone downhill. Yes, the location is great but the loose tiles on the bathroom floor, the lack of any air conditioning which requires leaving the windows open to the noise cannot justify the price paid. Even the breakfast wasn't as good as it used to be. This is my...

We've stayed at the Strand Palace many times when visiting relatives or just taking a break. It's always being updated as it is an older hotel - no room air conditioners! (They provided a fan, which we used on July 1 when the temp soared to 35/94 deg.) The lobby and food areas do have a/c. The staff are friendly...

I have chosen this hotel because it was our conference venue. What makes this hotel worthy of coming to it back, very good location and friendliness of the personnel. When you leave the hotel you will see the top of Nelson column. Trafalgar square is 5 minutes away on foot. There you may go to the National Gallery. To the...

We went for a weekend away to watch a show in London and do some tourist stuff, the hotel has a fantastic location, walking distance to lots of sites and theatres, the staff were friendly and breakfast was a buffet selection lots of choice! The rooms are a bit small but you have to expect that with a large hotel...

Probably the best hotel in town in the 60's but thats years ago. Still a very good location for Covent Garden. the big problem for me was that there is not AC in the rooms, you need to open the windows towards the noisy Strand. Also, the breakfast offered some real fatty british food that were just to much for...

Although excellently placed in the heart of London, this is a disappointing hotel in several respects. For the large amount of money paid I would not expect a small room, poorly and cheaply furnished and even without air conditioning. Looking forward to breakfast, I was left waiting to be shown to a table for nearly 10 minutes; once there, I...

Excellent location right in the west end of London in the middle of theatre land. Good value for money. I come back year after year. Single room is ample for my requirements and is very clean and comfortable.
