Its big, its busy. So many rooms, to little elevator and breakfast-table space at peak hours. Don´t take a room facing the Strand - it‘s noisy at night! Few rooms with zircon - costs more. The bar closes too early - 11.30! and has only bottled beers. On the bright side: Greatest location in London - right on the famous...

The Strand Palace was recommended by a friend for our recent four day visit to London. The hotel was well-situated for most attractions, with easy access to public transport and many sites within walking distance. A number of pubs, restaurants, and entertainment venues were within a short walk. The Strand is a grand old hotel, offering many amenities and exceptional...

Checked in this morning as we walked in both said how nice it looked then was shocked we paid 20 pounds for early check in ( two hours early) and as we walked to the room the corridors were very dated. Bearing in mind I'd spent a lot of money for two nights as a surprise for my boyfriends birthday...

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to review the Strand Palace Hotel following your recent stay with us. I am very saddened to read that, overall, you did not enjoy your stay with us and that in particular the room allocated to you did not meet your expectations and are cutting your visit short as a consequence. one night business trip. Room was perfectly adequate but nothing special. Would definitely benefit from some more power points, especially by the bed. Staff were all helpful. Breakfast was average quality and quite busy but I was shown to another breakfast area. This is a big hotel and seems to be full - so getting up and down on the...

Stayed at the strand palace hotel for 3 nights at the end of May. The location of the hotel is ideal, situated directly behind Covent Garden and on the Strand. With plenty of restaurants and shows nearby this was great for our stay. The staff were all very friendly and hotel entrance was lovely. We had a double room which...

I had been told this was a very good hotel, but I was rather disappointed. I was allocated a room looking out on a 'well', where a lot of building renovation was taking place. As a result, if I wanted to sit in my room during the day I either needed to close the shutters, or be prepared to have...

I stayed in a single room with double bed, which was comfortable enough, BUT the walls were so thin that at 6 a.m. the people next door woke up and were talking non stop. I had to phone them and ask them to be quiet!!! The bathroom had no adjustable mirror to check the back of my hair style and...

A "Grand Palace" in Central London where you can get a comfortable (if small) Single Room for a reasonable (for London) price. I am a single traveler and hate paying for a double room when I only use half. The Strand is a large hotel, but friendly and efficient with a selection of restaurants and bars. I spent a happy...

I appreciate the location and price enough to not expect this hotel to be top-notch. It has a very good coffee bar, drinks bar, gin bar, and restaurant. It's location is ideal for anyone visiting Covent Garden or the Royal Opera.
