Perfectly fine hotel. Lobby cut from a corner of an old bank lobby. Free water is a plus. Problem is location. Do not stay here on the weekend, since nothing in the area is open as it us primarily a business area. Also, do not stay here if you are driving (or being driven) elsewhere, including the airport, as it takes...

Wasn't told needed key to operate the lift. No complimentary water (which is says there is) No Bar or Restaurant on a Sunday (should say that in information). Was meeting a friend so had to go out (Wetherspoons next door but not quite what we wanted. Need a more friendly person at breakfast - seemed all too much for him....

The sitting area in the lobby was very small. There are machines for the check in and check out but also one person on duty to help you with them. Also there is a coffee machine in the lobby area to make your coffee complimentary. To reach our room we had to go through a corridor maze in which we sometimes...

Nowhere near a gem. If you dont get a room facing the street, your view is terrible. They are also quite small (had to update upon arrival), as the rest of the hotelareas here. I guess it´s ok located for business, but the area is quiet, even in weekends. The tube is near though. Beds are large and comfy, clean...

Great location between London bridge and Liverpool street station, gives you easy access to the city... Expensive for what you get, back I am guessing the price is set due to location as facilities provided are more 3.5 star hotel. I got lost on a couple of occasions looking for my room as the lifts can be a distance from...

Location is amazing for a lot of business visitors and close to London and tower bridge as well as Liverpool street. However staff not great, mixed up my business and personal cards even though I had a booking for the week and another for the weekend. Also don't order from the delivery place. Really bad!

I am in London several times a month and love to stay here. On the weekends the area is very quiet! But during the week it is bustling and has everything you need. I tend to go out in my evenings and just walk. There are so many lovely little alleys and pubs to enjoy. The staff at the hotel...

This hotel did the job of an over night stay in the city very well. It is what it is - a room only - cheap deal for London. But pleasantly surprised at the room size, cleanliness, friendly faces throughout our stay and perfect location (for our needs). Nice touch with the free refillable water bottles. Great decor and good...

Right in the middle of the town , renovated , convenient stay . Fits your budget and it's a no frills place with close access to many landmarks , Thames River , Tube and to the Central London. Best fit for anyone with limited budget and that offers reasonable comfort

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
