We chose this hotel as it was in walking distance to the Royal Albert Hall. We loved everything about it and location to the tube station across the road was great. Friendly helpful staff, especially the lovely knowledgeable doorman. Lovely room great facilities and quiet. Parking in underground car park pricey but very easy. Would stay here again even if...

I have never written a negative review, but feel compelled to write about our experience at The Bailey's Hotel. On arrival, we checked in and were given Room 501. We realised right away that this was directly opposite a really noisy elevator and called down to ask if we could please move to a room away from the noise as...

Stayed as a treat from my better half and what a lovely hotel, room was large, clean and nicely decorated.Cannot comment on the facilities as did not use. Only complaint is why every hotel I stay in ,orders a PHV when I ask for a taxi. Am a avid supporter of this iconic trade so when I ask for a taxi please...

We stayed here after seeing the Pet Shop Boys at the Albert Hall (Amazing) and this hotel was a delight to stay in. The Room was Top Class with lots of space, good King size Comfy Bed, with all the finesse and additions you would expect from such a Hotel

When booking the hotel and seeing the nice photos online, I hoped that it would really be a nice hotel and I was not disappointed. On arrival I instantly liked the look of the building exterior. Inside, we were greeted by very friendly and helpful staff. The reception area was also very inviting and tasteful. Our room was just fabulous!...

We stayed here for two nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Lovely hotel, good location and lots of shops and places to eat nearby. The tube station is across the road so very convenient to get around London. Would stay again and would highly recommend

We came to see The Who at the Royal Albert Hall. The hotel, situated 10 minutes walk from the Hall, offers very nice, calm and well equipped rooms. In addition, a very nice Italian restaurant, Olives. Definately worthwhile a visit.

This is one of the oldest hotels in London, but has been renovated in a way that retains the original character while adding modern amenities and even a slightly trendy edge. My single room was seriously tiny even for London, but beautifully furnished, with an ultra-modern bathroom. With a price approaching budget-hotel territory, it was also a great bargain, especially...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
