Was there for an event on Thursday 20th March, had meetings afterwards in the bar (£4:50 for a cup of tea!) the cloakroom wanted to finish early so they had trouble finding my coat. Unfortunately during the process I put my phone down near the concierge desk. Next morning early they confirmed they had found it, I asked them to...

I'd read a few reviews a day prior to staying which weren't complimentary but I have to say they didn't match my experience. Easy to reach hotel from Euston Station and Russell Square tube. Beautiful stairs....... receptionists professional, booking in easy, Concierge helpful. I had a suite (7th floor) ......... it was wonderful ..........clean, tidy, welcoming, toiletries plentiful, a mini...

I have stayed at this Hotel many times for the past 15 years. The character of the building, the renovations, close to the tranquility of Russell Square and the Tube Station are a real attraction for me. The silly thing is the huge surcharge for internet, I think it was 10 or 15 pounds for 24 hours...this is ridiculous and...

What once was a hotel renowned for it's elegance is fading under the present ownership of PH Hotels. We booked a standard double for 3 nights through Secret Escapes and then got an email from PH Hotels offering the chance of an upgrade - £24 a night extra for a double superior, £26 a night extra for deluxe double ("with...

Located near tube station and the building itself has historical character. Nice ambiance. I just find the lobby a bit dark even in daytime. Buffet breakfast with plenty of choice. But they finish early. We got room on the higher floor so it was quiet and quite comfortable. But my bed lamp was broken. WiFi comes with a surcharge. A...

The main problem with our fourth floor room was that it faced the internal quadrangle which housed a variety of industrial sized air conditioning units. Insulation from this din was minimal because the old sash windows offered little protection. Unfortunately worse was to come as a wedding reception kicked off in the evening with a very powerful sound system which...

The hotel has a good location and impressive exterior. The staff are polite. Unfortunately the single rooms are very small and shabby. The quality simply doesn't justify the price. They are also next to a very noisy part of the hotel (next to the air conditioning units). The hum from these fans is pretty overpowering so I would suggest you...

This conveniently located 100-year-old (updated) architecturally interesting building was designed by the architect of the Titanic. It is right next to the Russell Square Underground (tube) station and across the street from a pleasant park - Russell Square. Well-served by an efficient and friendly multinational staff. Rooms on the small side, but well equipped. If arranged for, an ample British...

Dear Guest Thank you for your review. I am delighted that you had a lovely stay with us at Hotel Russell. Charles Fitzoy-Doll designed our magnificent structure and then went on to create the interior dining rooms of the Titanic. You can certainly see the similarity in both our chandelier and stair case. We are extremely proud of our rich...

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
