This hotel is exactly what you would expect. Location to Covent garden is great. The hotel is clean; most of the staff are polite, some of them (the English ones) have a bit too much attitude. The gym is a public fitness club filled with 20year olds and thumping music - less than ideal but acceptable.

Dear Nicholas B, Thank you for your feedback on your recent stay. I am pleased that the location and the majority of the staff met your expectations. Your feedback regarding the English staff was a concern. We strive to have our staff be themselves and hire those who truly have a passion for hospitality. It is our intention to mould...

Just completed yet another stay at this wonderfully-located Central London hotel. Excellent rooms, excellent amenities and excellent staff remain the foundations of this hotel's success. Close to Covent Garden, it offers easy access to the best that London has to offer in the way of culture, dining and shopping. A must-stay!

Dear Kerwyn G, Thank you for your continued loyalty to The Waldorf Hilton. I would like to thank you for having such faith in us and consistently choosing us as your hotel of choice when visiting central London. You are quite correct that the amenities and in particular the staff can make all the difference. A must-stay is what we...

Excellent hotel, as expected with the name. My only complaint is that the air conditioner didn't keep up well; I am not normally "hot" but it was very warm in the room with the ac at full blast. The bathroom also needs a fan. Since the moisture isn't leaving the bathroom or shower stall, the paint is peeling in the...

A group of us headed off for an afternoon tea and stay break at The Waldorf last weekend, and what can I say........JUST FABULOUS. We arrived a little early, but this did not phase George, who worked his magic, and we were in our rooms within 15 minutes. Our afternoon tea was excellent, plenty of tea/coffee, sandwiches, cakes etc., It...

We recently wrapped up a three day stay in London and the location of this hotel is its strongest feature. I have stayed at other Waldorf properties, primarily in the U.S., and this location did not feel like it warranted the Waldorf name. The staff were lovely and friendly but the rooms and amenities were not so far above what...

We have stayed here many times now and it never fails to please. I worry that standards might slip but we have yet to be disappointed. The room on the second floor was large and spotless and the bathroom was well equipped. The Executive Lounge was well stocked and the afternoon tea was much improved. The selection of food in...

My husbands company had their annual event at the Waldorf this year. To be honest i was not very impressed with the service we received. We upgraded to a King Executive Suite and wished i had not have bothered. I did not have slippers, bathroom kit or a hair dryer in my room, 3 phone calls and 25 minutes later...

Dear Lyn B, Thank you for choosing to stay with us at The Waldorf Hilton. Your feedback was immensely disappointing for us to review. Those who upgrade to our King Executive Suites are usually very happy with the decision that they have made and enjoy the service that we have to offer. The Waldorf, London is a nice hotel with a smaller than average lounge. Perfect location and friendly staff. Will definitely use this hotel in the future mainly for location. The hotel has a small swimming pool and a very large gym which is used by non residence.

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighbourhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
