New Milton, United Kingdom

Our room was lovely with all facilities and 2 TV's, a sofa and great en-suite. The staff were helpful and polite, I left my phone charger behind and they were kind enough to post it back, no extra charge. The continental breakfast was fantastic, great choice, with cooked available at extra cost. However with the choice of breads, toasts, fruit,...

Booked hotel for a surprise weekend away for wife's birthday. Originally chose hotel due to location - walking distance to Royals Albert Hall and literally 2 mins from underground with several lines. I had also read about the service. I notified hotel in advance that it was a special weekend and upon arrival at 11.30am they had already got room...

We stayed for three days and overall, this is not a four star hotel. Certainly our room was large and the location, just round the corner from Gloucester Road tube, is very good but, in most other respects this is a two star or, at best, three star hotel. Firstly, everything has a rather worn feel about it and there...

Just a 2 minute walk from Gloucester Road underground station in a convenient location in central London. As you approach the hotel, the front of the building does not give a good first impression which is a pity because once inside, although looking a little dated, the place is spotlessly clean with attentive professional staff. Our room was on the...

I was excited to stay here several months ago. This is probably a 2.75 star hotel, with maybe a 3 star bathroom as it's the only thing not outdated in the room. Location is great, but this is honestly the only thing great about the Ashburn. I wanted to like this hotel, but ended up coming away quite disappointed. Rooms...

I stayed here for a week in October, and highly recommend it. It is a smaller, charming hotel in a perfect location. The room was not large, but was entirely adequate. The toiletries were Gilchrist & Soames. I loved being able to make coffee in the room, and to have a different type of cookie each night. The tube station...

i would strongly recommend it , it"s the third time that i visit it, very close to tube station with direction directly to Heathrow airport. Clean hotel with very kind personel. Nice and safe location close to the center of London and to the most of the museums.

Found the hotel on line and it seemed very convenient to the Albert Hall at a good price. Arrived at Gloucester Rd.tube station in pouring rain so the location was brilliant. Welcome and check in very smooth and our room was everything the website promised. So impressed by duty receptionist who hailed us a taxi in pouring rain A treat...

Centrally located hotel. 3 minutes walk from the Gloucester road underground. Hotel is oldish but clean. Room is small and tight - especially if one has 2 large suit cases. Staff members are friendly. Continental breakfast spread is adequate.

As part of our annual city break to London, I stayed at this hotel with my brother from 14-16 Dec-16. I booked the hotel through Booking.com which offered a very attractive rate. ** Room ** Our twin bed room (R401) was of a good size, well maintained and spotlessly clean. The maid did a thorough job each day keeping the...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
