This is a nice friendly hotel, staff are very helpful. Stayed 3 nights. Arrived really early in the morning and they got me into my room as fast as possible, very much appreciated. Shower was gr8, bathroom was the smallest I have ever seen but adequate. Beds were comfy and it was very clean and our room (which didn't have...

Did a lot of research before booking a hotel in London and knew that rooms in London are expensive for very small rooms. I even saw a picture of how tiny the bathroom at this hotel is but was still shocked and distressed upon check-in. Tiny elevator slowly took us to our floor where we had to struggle with 4...

The room was the smallest room I have ever stayed in, I thought that there was no bathroom until I looked in what I thought was a cupboard to find everything crammed into the tiniest space. The room was also overlooking Cromwell road and the noise was constant all night. There were no curtains only wooden blinds, if it was...

Stayed here with a colleague on business. The single room was tiny (to be expected in London though) All I can say is that I did not want to have a shower here, the bathroom was awful. The bed was pretty comfy but this room overlooked Cromwell road and the sash window had no double glazing, so all I can...

The best thing about the room was the big and comfortable double bed! Unfourtunately it took most of the space in the room leaving no space to pass another person without climbing over the bed. The view was to the back, quiet but ugly, wooden blind was broken and the tv showed mostly blizzard. The bathroom tiles looked new but...

We stayed here for 5 nights during our honeymoon in April. We stayed on the 1st floor and the room had really high ceilings and a nice view of the street corner of Cromwell Road which wasn't noisy. There was a complimentary bottle of wine in our room. Breakfast was nice and had a variety from fruit, pastries, cereals and...

I understand from some of the other reviews that the rooms vary a lot in size, but what we were offered when we spent two nights at Kensington Rooms back in January was not worthy of a hotel claiming three stars. Our double room was just big enough for the double bed and a desk (without chair), but varying room...

Stayed at The Kensington Rooms with my wife from Thursday through Sunday. The location is excellent, very close to Gloucester Road tube station, which has good connections to three of the main tubelines (Circle, Piccadilly and District lines). Our room had two single beds that were pushed together to form a double, which worked out ok. Room was rather small...

Excellent location. I was greeted with a wellcome smile at the arrival and the few days I stayed were pleasant and comfortable. Reception people were friendly. The only thing I did not like about the hotel, perhaps, is the breakfast, particularly coffee, but that is my personal demand. Good place to stay in over a quick business trip.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
