I travel a lot for work and stay in a lot of ‘budget’ hotels but this one is by far the worst I’ve ever visited. Rooms are like something out of the 1980s, air con blows hot air, mysterious stains in the bathroom and on the chair Paper thin walls, I could hear a dog barking in the next room Went to the bar to have a drink and consider some dinner I can only compare it to a dated ‘flat roof pub’ tables and sides were covered in dust and not at all clean. At this point my colleague and I decided hell would have to freeze over before we spent the night here and promptly booked other accommodation and left. Also after using my company card for the security deposit we were contacted by the fraud department of our bank regarding suspicious activity. Basically unless your desperate avoid this place at all costs.

Hotel's Favourite
This hotel WENT out of their way to make our stay EXTRA special! We informed them that we were celebrating our 4th anniversary as a married couple, and it was also our very first time stepping foot in London. Just look at the decorations they placed for us, and a welcome amenity of chocolates with a personalized note. Our room was small yet cozy. It was perfect for us as travellers, since most of our day was spent out exploring London anyway. We were on a tight budget, and this was totally worth it. We loved the service here. Zoltan and Fran were extremely accommodative and helpful! The buffet breakfast is a steal. For 11.5 GBP, the selections of cuisine were quite varied, and were really delicious! If we were to return to London, we'd come back for sure. It's ideal for travellers like myself, looking for a hotel that fits a tight budget with great service.

Fantastic stay at a well located hotel with excellent and comfortable facilities; the staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast area was busy but it was possible to get a seat and enjoy a hearty breakfast each day.

I booked this place really carefully as it suited my work needs the best. I was told along the way that no credit card would be needed on checking in. We got there and out of our party of 15, two rooms were not ready. That was ok as we had somewhere to be so most of our party checked in and we stashed our bags in their rooms. They shook me down for a credit card at reception and I had to use my personal one. They assured me that no charge would be made - which is pointless to have to take the details then! When we got back my superior room was ready. I was shattered and sick. When I got there the paper thin walls meant I could hear a screaming toddler and it’s unhappy mother. This would not do so I called and they said they’d give me another room. Down I went and they gave me a key to a different superior room. When I got there they had given me the key to someone else’s room! I literally walked into someone else’s room! So the security is poor here. They then gave me a disgusting room even though I’d paid for a superior. I called them and they said they’d come up. The woman came up with a security guard. I questioned why he was there and he was cagey. I said I was offended by this as I’d been really polite even though I was annoyed. They said it’s just policy. I was eventually let into an acceptable room but it wasn’t the type I’d paid for. They gave me drinks vouchers as a result. The next day my room wasn’t cleaned when I’d got back and it hadn’t been reset. I then found myself in the middle of a really angry argument between two foreign maids. Everyone else had a good stay. It’s a cheaper option. But you don’t get what you pay for and they don’t do it well. The bar is good and the views are great from the higher floors. I wouldn’t come here again.

Third visit to this hotel (it may be called tge Ibis Earl's Court, but the closest station is West Brompton). The really odd thing is the rooms. Each room I have stayed in seemed to come from a different decade. I think I've ben in '70s, '80s and '90s rooms so far. There nay be rooms from the '00s and '10s - but probably not '20s. As ever, the staff are all friendly, but the place is tired. I also suspect it is run for tge staff's benefit, not the guests. Bar opening times are a little odd. It's not a bad place, and the location is quite good. But all in all, it's not as up to date as it should be. It must be the largest Ibis in London (and probably Britain), but it certainly isn't the best - even the soap/shampoo isn't up to the normal Ibis standard.
