I stayed for 1 night as a last minute birthday treat. I had one of their junior suites. This place does not have a restaurant, so you mainly rely on room service, which was quite pricey. The room had a minibar and complimentary but no tea/coffee making facilities - usually come as standard in 5* hotels? The room was clean...

This is a real hidden gem the hotel is two townhouses that have been converted into the hotel so no cookie cutter rooms here and only 17 rooms. I stayed here for 2 nights and stay in a junior suite. The staff was outstanding and was able to take care of all my needs. The hotel has no restaurant or...

San Demenico is a charming hotel on a quiete Chelsea street that is walking distance to galleries, shopping, and the tube. My room was tastefully decorated and the size was generous and more than what I was expecting! There are a few balconies from where one can take in the views of London over a cup of tea or a...

The San Domenico House Hotel is exactly what I think of when I think of a 5 star hotel. First, the hotel is set in a perfect location on a quiet street that is just a minute from the Kings Road, and about 5 minutes from the Sloane Square tube station. There are a number of good restaurants, cafes and...

Dear Guest, Thank you for the long and glowing review. We are glad you agree San Domenico is the idea of luxury and that you enjoyed our beautiful fusion of contemporary, antique and gilded interiors. We couldn’t have described the interiors better – ‘English in feel but Italian in style.’ We look forward to welcoming you again at San Domenico...

My husband and I stayed here just before Christmas for a weekend of shopping and catching up with friends. Firstly the location is fabulous, just behind the Kinds Road, short walk to Sloane Square station if required. Nice and quiet street and easy to find parking in the neighbouring roads. The welcome was fantastic, warm, friendly but not over bearing.The...

Stayed three nights including New Year's Eve. Warm fire blazing on check in. We wanted to have a nice dinner to bring in new year, but had no reservation anywhere. The hotel staff went all out to get us a reservation last minute the eve of, at a wonderful restaurant in walking distance. This hotel is first class all the...

A unique hotel in Chelsea integrating the best of Britishness with Italian flair and style and the only place to stay now we've been there twice! All rooms and suites are different with split level or single floor design, all ozzing luxury, Nothing is too much trouble for the staff who all care about what they are doing. More like...

San Domenico House gets top marks from me for old world elegance. Feels like a private mansion rather than an impersonal hotel. Could probably do with a refurbishment next year. There are some visible signs of wear but nothing to ruin my overall impression. Very nice to have both The King’s Road and Sloane Street literally a stone’s throw away

We stayed in room 102, gallery suite o 5th November 2016. Great room with very comfortable 4 poster bed. Lovely to be in a residential area in a hotel with all Italian staff. Very good full English breakfast. Excellent coffee. Good views from roof terrace. Next to King Road but far enough away to be very quiet. Very good restaurants...

location perfect. Concierge's so helpful and professional. You knew as soon as they met you at the door that this hotel was a cut above. We just loved every second of our stay and we will be re-booking. We are very picky but this place is faultless!!!

Staying in Chelsea

Neighbourhood Profile
Chelsea
Wealth courses through The King's Road, Chelsea's upmarket artery of West London life packed with shops, eateries and glitzy nightspots. For people-watching at its best and luxury retail therapy that's largely unrivalled, this area cannot be missed. But if this showy street starts to overwhelm or a moment of price tag shock sends you reeling, a quick detour down pretty much any of many King's Road veins will reveal a quieter side of Chelsea. Here the stately Royal Hospital hosts its world-famous flower show, and the Thames rolls along at a lazy pace, with leafy Battersea Park and its Peace Pagoda beckoning from across the river.
