The staff here are fabulous. They look after every need without being stuck up. The rooms are modern but nicer priced for the size. They are small ! The decor is modern BUT some of the rooms are a little tired. The breakfast is OK, but I would expect better based on the room rate.

Stayed in this hotel for business. Spectacular lobby but rooms are pretty average although very clean. Basic amenities and did expect a bit more of the stay. Ask for a quiet room unless you want to be woken up by the bins being emptied at 6am.

We loved the location - the basic rooms were great and very well equipped with comfy beds but there was no extra space. Good breakfast. Very helpful and friendly staff a exception and the concierge desk. Would definitely stay there again.

Booked a Sunday night here for my wife's birthday treat as I'd stayed on business and was impressed. From the moment we arrived the staff made us feel welcome, and we were offered our choice of floors (the higher the better views). Our room was sumptuous, great facilities, brilliant bed and a fantastic views of Mayfair and further north London....

Bed very comfortable. Modern gadgets like a smartphone with maps in each room. Very quiet even though a lot of rooms. Location central to all. Staff very friendly and helpful. Concierge especially sweet and very accommodating. Good value for price especially due to location.

This hotel is situated in a quiet area centrally located convenient for theatres, shopping and the royal parks. The staff were friendly and very helpful, keen to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. The restaurant is excellent serving delicious, high quality cuisine. We will definitely stay here again.

The second visit to the Cavendish, on each occasion occupying a penthouse on the 15th Floor. There is not a second visit if the 1st visit doesn't come up to scratch. For guests unable to walk up a flight of stairs the 15 th floor won't suit you since the lift only reaches the 14th Floor. That potential impediment aside,...

Dear Andrew R, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at The Cavendish. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay, and that you were impressed with the Penthouse suites. We have stayed twice since the new year and both times have been exceptional, especially the first visit where we were upgraded to the best room in the hotel with the best views across the london skyline. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant where all the staff go beyond expectations. We stay here several times throughout the year...

Stayed at this hotel many, many times. Love the location, the friendliness of the staff ad the quality and cleanliness of the rooms. Only 5 mins walk to either Green Park or Piccadilly tube station. Fortum and Masons, The Wolseley Restaurant, Regent Street and Oxford Street are all within a short walking distance

Staying in St. James's

Neighbourhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
