We have just spend 3 nights in a jr. suite (rm 1506) and that was a bizarre experience. The elevator takes you to the 14th floor only and then you have to enter what appears to be an emergency staircase to get to your suite. Old paint, old carpet and bad smell. Very strange... The suite itself is a good...

My stay here was absolutely wonderful. From the amazing accommodations to the friendly staff and their perfectly central location just around the corner from Piccadilly Circus. Jack at the concierges desk was especially helpful so I could plan out my time as well as my trip back to the airport. I highly recommend staying at the Cavendish and I will...

Just back from a lovely weekend at the Cavendish. Accommodation was very good with rooms cleaned and serviced to a very high standard. Plenty of gluten free options available for breakfast and staff were extremely helpful and friendly despite being busy. I highly recommend this hotel as a great place to stay, the location is fantastic and perfect for a...

Visited with my daughter. We were noticed, welcomed and offered help the moment we arrived. Bedroom and bathroom were nice and comfortable, but I had a bit problem with the air due to asthma. The air was so dry that I Ionged for a window to open. By regulating the air condition it became a little better the second night....

We continue to stay here on a regular basis and just about everything continues to get better and better. The staff experience is great, from the greeting as you pull up to the final farewell from checkout everyone is courteous and friendly. The rooms are fine as long as you make sure that you've been allocated one with a king-size...

The Cavendish is great in a lot of ways. The location (in Jermyn St, just behind Fortnum's) is about as perfect as it gets. Walk everywhere, and 10-15 minutes closer to Heathrow without getting bogged down in Soho traffic. Yes, the "standard" rooms are small, but spend just a little more, and the room I ended up in was gorgeous...

Good location and good standard rooms. The rooms are a bit dark but there's lots of room to work, even in a standard double, and they have Sky Sports and a nespresso coffee machine so I was all set. I also appreciated the early check-in. I'd definitely return. If I had one niggle it was the lack of choice on...

We loved it in our short stay to london. The hotel was great and very very clean . The staff was very friendly and the place is just at the heart of the city. Just behind the ritz but half price. The breakfast was also great too.

You cannot beat the location, close to all the tourist action but tucked away on Jermyn Street. A well run refined hotel. The rooms are a little tight. Have stayed there numerous times on previous occasions. The room windows can be opened for some fresh air.Recommended.

Staying in St. James's

Neighbourhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
