We booked a quadruple room and were given the tiniest room with 2 double beds only 18 inches apart, rather than the big room advertised on the website. No room to unpack a suitcase. We were told it was "our fault" we hadn't specified the room!! Three flights of stairs and we had to dodge the man hoovering who wouldn't...

Good points : very close to bayswater tube station/Hyde park/Kensington Park. Clean bedding Bad points: old dated hotel, shabby rooms and bathroom. Paint peeling from walls and wooden bathroom items, mirror on the wall had paint over it. Carpet was random bits put together, curtains were part hung from the poles. Window didn't stay up. Electric sockets were broken and...

Yes, it´s true this isn´t the eight wonder in the world, and yes, the building isn´t great and modern but face these two things: the place is cheap and it´s...

I booked this hotel for two nights over the London marathon weekend in April 2012. The reviews on here left me a little worried but in all honesty the hotel wasn't as bad as I expected. Yes it's tatty and in desperate need for modernisation but it's very cheap so what do you expect for Central London?! We had comfortable...

On check-in the manager seemed to be friendly enough. But when we proceeded upstairs to our room we soon noticed all the faults. The bed was broken and mattress was sagging down into the bed and the TV did not work. We went down stairs to complain only to be greeted by another staff member that could not speak any...

The service is great, the location is great and had it just been cheaper it would have been perfect. The fact is that you do get some really nice hotels in London for around a 100 pounds. And of course the standard will maybe double for paying 20 pounds extra then what you do here. If the rooms where around...
