We just finished a 6 night stay in the hotel while visiting London for the first time. The hotel is in upscale area in Kensington and our room 200A was very spacious, well appointed and in a quiet section of the hotel. The reservation process was easy, the room was ready upon arrival and the staff were very friendly and courteous. You are within 3 blocks of the tube and restaurants and a grocery store is located immediately behind the hotel. We would definitely recommend this hotel

Great location to train station. Staff helpful and place was lovely and clean. The property itself however needs lots of work and updating, carpets in the hallways are frayed and in places a trip hazard, the rooms definitely need a refresh. Air conditioning does not work and room was like a sauna the entire time. You also needed a degree to work out the shower.

We stayed two friends in a three-bed room for a few nights in July in connection with the BST2023 festival in Hyde Park. The location of the hotel is superb! 5-10 minute walk from Earls Court tube (or Kensington High Street is about the same distance but slightly longer). The staff very friendly and helpful, great service! By London standards, the room was far beyond expectations. Reasonably spacious and clean and that everything worked as it should. The hotel does not offer its own breakfast, but in the basement there is a restaurant (you get a discount voucher if you stay at the hotel) that offers a simple breakfast. Will definitely return to this hotel which is one of the few in London where I feel you get what you pay for. Recommended!

Wow what a terrible hotel. Arrived on Sunday night air conditioning in room not working hot as hell. Asked the staff in the morning stated air conditioning would be fixed by pm on the 17 July. Returned to our room 9pm felt like a sauna air conditioning blowing hot air. I spoke to the service desk might as well spoke to Mr Magoo,no satisfaction just you can get a 40% refund. He then said sorry you’ll have to go through your travel agent which we have. Avoid this hotel.

Hotel is a nice enough property however being woken up by the bar between 2.30am and 4.30am night after night is unacceptable. When one is paying GBP 300 a night it is a joke and would not recommend the property to anyone. Overpriced and undelivers by a long way.

On the positive side, the staff are excellent. They tried hard to help and were friendly. The hotel is in an excellent location in Kensington and it's very quiet. On the negative side, the rooms need work. Our AC was not very good and the room was hot most of the time. The rooms are also very small for the money you're paying. It's an expensive hotel.

Outstanding, quiet and convenient location! A wonderful neighborhood setting! Our room was very nice, clean and cool...(considering the 90 degree weather during our stay... ) Most importantly, the hotel staff was incredibly responsive and kind...! Mark and Sue Portland, Or. USA

AWFUL. They didn't tell me their restaurant (Jasmine) turns into a shisha bar after closing ... and we were kept awake until 3am (on a Monday night, not a weekend!!) with loud Asian music and noisy men. In addition, the room we were in breaks legal health and safety regulations as it has no fire exit map on the door (in fact the way the notice is designed makes it look like you shouldn't do some of the essentials), and the bedroom sash window (single glazed, awful) has no restrictor so you could push it all the way up and easily fall out. Avoid this place.

Stayed many times over the years but standards have fallen and it definitely was the worst stay ever at the Park City Grand Plaza Kensington. Room was spacious with a king bed and equipped with a kettle, fridge and safe. However the WiFi was patchy, the toiletries were basic with no shower caps and the hairdryer didn't even work. The bed sheets were scratchy and the towels were thin. Furthermore there was a constant strong chemical smell in the room from the carpet. Air-conditioning was necessary to neutralise the smell. The biggest issue was the failure of the air-conditioning on the hottest days ever in London. The third floor gets very hot. The cooling failed around midnight but no-one at reception answered the phone. A visit was made to the reception desk but nothing was fixed. The windows were opened to get "fresh" air and it was then noticed that the windows were dirty and one was broken. The downside was the constant noise from the street and the smell from the garbage. There was zero air-conditioning again on the second day. Reception advised several times that the cooling was being repaired. By the afternoon it still wasn't working and the room had not been serviced either. Staff then advised that the air-conditioning would be repaired later that day. On return in the evening, it still wasn’t cooling and another night was spent in a hot room with chemical and garbage smells. Inexplicably, the air-conditioning was working downstairs at the reception desk! Only on the third night did the cooling system finally work in the room. Only verbal apologies were given for the situation. No other assistance from the front desk was provided. An email of complaint was sent to the reservations address but no-one ever responded. The quality of the stay this time was terrible. Standards have greatly fallen over the years. No-one ever helps with the luggage up the front stairs or opens the front doors. Reception does nothing to resolve issues. The location of the Park City Grand Plaza is excellent but quality of the accommodation and service have greatly declined. This hotel is no longer worthy of a previous five star review.
