London Elizabeth Hotel is an old house with cosy, tidy rooms. You can take your afternoon tea on the terrace, where you will also find a herb garden. Although there is a elevator, you should prefer to climb up the stairs. It is very small and slow. The bathroom of our standard double (there are also superior rooms available) was...

Stayed here 5 nights in September. The hotel is right across the street from the Tube station. Busses stop right outside. Staff is excellent. The lift is very tiny (barely enough room for 2 people) and the stairs can be a bit of a workout. The restaurant was very good as was the lounge (we introduced the bartender to Bailey's...

This hotel has a great location to get around London. Close to Hyde Park and the Tube and Paddington Station. When we arrived the linens were not cleaned (someone got sick on them) but let me tell you that they found out, they were full of apologies and we had new linens within minutes. The room needs quite a bit...

I stayed here 6 nights in September, a single female traveling alone. Arriving too early to check-in, my luggage was stowed and then delivered to my room on the third floor (also was taken back down when I left, as the lift was out of order). I cannot say enough good things about the staff and being there almost a...

I do feel there is a need of updating in certain areas. Not quite as modern as i would have liked. The lift is probably the smallest i have ever seen (a claustrophics nightmare). And in places the stairs slant to the side (interesting) .Our room was clean, tidy, basic! Breakfast room was pretty though a little dated, little concerned...

Good points: Lovely public areas (the 'Rose Garden' restaurant for the lovely breakfast is stunning), short but labyrinthine corridors, creaky old lift and bookcases in the corridors - a great antidote to the anonymous modern identikit hotels. Our room was enormous - it would almost have been a suite in another hotel - two armchairs, a fireplace, and a sizeable...

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights at the beginning of September 2012. Hotel has good, and slightly less good points:- Good - literally just across the road from Lancaster Gate underground station, and literally just across the road from Hyde Park. Staff friendly and helpful. Service good and friendly for breakfast. Spacious (de luxe) room on 3rd floor,...

Right opposite hyde park and very close to lancaster gate tube station. This hotel is a good base for any events in hyde park e.g last night of the proms . Its a 15 minute walk to the performance area. The hotel is somewhat dated but this has a charm. We had the four poster room on floor 4. Big...

We booked this Hotel for our annual outing to the proms in the Park, and having stayed here earlier in the year I was looking forward to the stay. The location is perfect for Hyde Park, the Staff are friendly and very helpful, however the room was disgraceful. The decor was shabby, there were patches of wallpaper missing and where...
