Oh dear! Cleaning the room would of helped for a start. I thought I had traveled back in time to 1984 due to the decor, if it had been 1984 prices, well- it would of helped. It's tired and dated and frankly on the rank side of hospitality. No tea/coffee in rooms and a decent size bath towel would have...

Easily the most disappointing hotel I have ever stayed in, initially I was put in a windowless room in the basement next to the laundry. So I complained and was given a slightly better room upstairs, which was stilltiny room, no hot water, smells, sometimes no heating, no plug in bath, tv intermittent...Oh and i had to sit sideways to...

This is among the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. It is the kind of place that gets London a bad name. Stayed for one night, never again. The staff were surly to the point of rudeness. The room was very small for 3 people. No tea/coffee, the TV didn't work. Paid WiFi (really)! Room in the basement with...

Booked a room for 3 adults. Photos on website looked ok but wish I'd checked on here first! From the outside the hotel looked fine and the reception area was ok, if a little basic. Despite asking for a room on a low floor (I don't do lifts and my son has dyspraxia) we were given a room on the...

Checking in for a three nights stay, we got a room in the basement. This was a disaster !! Humidity, narrow and low temperature. It was smelling basement. The next morning we demanded a changed of room. This was accepted after a while and we fot a ok room in the 2.floor. The service in the reception was partly poor...

DO NOT EVEN BOTHER!!! My wife and I booked here for a couple of nights to do some sightseeing in London. Due to a bereavement of a close relative we tried to cancel the booking as soon as we could (funeral fell on a day we had booked) We tried to contact the hotel but the no one answered and...

You get what you pay for. If you chose a cheap hotel in central London then this is what you get. Rooms are clean but the whole place needs a face lifting and maintenance. If you need Wifi for your work don't go there it is unstable.

The hotel has a run down, shabby appearance with ripped carpets, missing toilet flush buttons and damaged paintwork but this may be over looked except.... The shower was cold, the shower tray didn't drain, the rooms were cold, we were told not to use the sockets or we'd fuse the whole fifth floor! There was also a hair on the...

A dump that wouldn't attract not even a homeless had it not been for its location. Bad service, lack of hygiene and terrible smell. This was a nightmare for me. The room was very smelly and poky. The taps in the shower room was leaking and leaving a horrible stain on the floor. I was so uncomfortable that I couldnt...

Booked this hotel for a one night stay as was visiting London and the location wasn't to far from the theatre me & my fiancé were going to. On arrival the hotel looked ok. Quickly checked in & given our room number. As soon as I opened the door I was shocked at how small the room was. A bed,...

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
