The DoubleTree by Hilton London Angel Kings Cross garners appreciation for its strategic location near key transport hubs and the heart of London, as well as its tranquil and welcoming atmosphere. While many guests commend the cleanliness and certain amenities like the Executive Lounge and breakfast options, experiences with room comfort and noise levels vary.
Service quality appears to be a hit-or-miss, affecting perceptions of value. Despite some calls for improvements in maintenance and service consistency, the hotel's overall cleanliness and ambiance receive positive remarks.

Hotel's Favourite
I have stayed in a lot of 5* hotels around the world, and was pleasantly surprised as to how good this gem in London is.
Firstly it is really clean in the rooms, and i would advise to ask for the newer refurbished rooms which has the better showers, i had the top floor (max 5) and had front views that looked to the London city buildings including St Pauls, Gherkin and the Shard to name a few.
A special shout out to Asad and Richard👍🏼 who were absolutely amazing in reception who would go out of their way to help in all your needs or issues. A big thank you to Mimi in the 60bar who was 👍🏼 I would highly recommend this hotel 🏨 over others in the same price bracket. To all the other staff members i have missed in this review - You all were fantastic as well.

Stayed for 1 night with friends. Hotel is walking distant to kings cross and Euston station . Angel tube startup is also right round the corner so location was very good. Plenty of bars and restaurants in walking distance too.
Room was small but very clean and smart full English buffet breakfast was also included with the stay , choice of different style of eggs was good but the sausages looked a bit cheap and not the best !
Don’t let a sausage out you off staying here though , I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting London

This Hotel never disappoints, 5 mins walk to angel Tube station which is central for all parts of London by tube, 10 mins by cab and ÂŁ10 from Euston station. upper street full of many eateries recommendations Bills and 6degrees coffee for breakfast the castle next door does great pub food
Handy for Sadlers Wells theatre, west end really near.
The Hotel has had a recent refurb. We ate at the restaurant one evening and the steak was what you would expect from Marco Pierre White
Drinks and bar food are reasonable and tasty the seafood platter for two is tasty and you must order the triple cooked chips
The staff are friendly and welcoming hotel is spotless family rooms quite spacious although overlooking Byron St didn’t hear. Thing
Never used the gym but looked adequate
Would always recommend this hotel never let me down and will be back in May and Dec collecting my Hilton points

The rooms are very spacious and modern. The beds are comfy and the facilities in the rooms are to a high standard overall. The staff that work here are also very pleasant to talk to. The area is also great as there is local shops, restaurants and a tube station nearby for easy access to the city.
However, there were some issues which arose during our stay here:
1) The keycard to the room was not working properly when we first received it. Normally I wouldn’t care about this but given a few other things happened I’ll include it. Although this was fixed quite quickly.
2) The hairdryer in the room was covered in hair from a previous guest at the hotel. Again the staff went out of their way to ensure that this was resolved quickly.
3) The air conditioning vent sometimes rattled in the night waking my girlfriend up (and once me).
4) The housekeeping staff accidentally threw away my contact lenses case. They offered to replace them and provided me with plastic cups to keep my lenses in for the night. However, using cups required using more contact lenses solution and resulted in my using all my solution. The staff offered to also replace the solution. The following day the case was replaced but not the solution. The staff here did offer to replace the solution but the shops were closed. In my opinion they didn’t look hard enough because after searching nearby shops for a few mins I found one open and informed the staff. Upon learning this they replaced the solution.
5) We requested laundry to be done. This was in total 11 pairs of underwear, 3 bras and 2 pairs of socks which totalled to a bill of around £30. I thought this was steep, however I didn’t complain as the price is the price. I was a little annoyed when we had our underwear returned and found that 4 out of 11 were not cleaned properly. The staff discounted these from the total bill.
6) Upon checking out there was a mysterious bill which claimed we ordered breakfast on our room (which we didn’t). This was removed very quickly, without much argument from the hotel staff. This surprised us as to how it got there and why they didn’t object to us saying we ordered breakfast.
7) When paying the bill of the laundry we found that it was £25.46. We had cash to pay for this, however they were mainly large notes and not small coins. So we handed over £25 and asked if we could use card to finish the payment of 46p as we didn’t want to break anymore notes and nor did my girlfriend want to take so much British notes back to Australia. The staff member told us that they would have to take a payment of £2 and then refund £1.54 onto the card in a few days as their machines wouldn’t accept a payment of less than £2. Given all the inconveniences we faced, we though the hotel would at least waver the 46p after we literally spent over £1,000 on our stay.
While all the issues were resolved, we genuinely expected more from such a prestigious hotel chain. Certainly was not worthy of 4*s to me and I wouldn’t stay here again. The staff did try their best to help us as much as possible however.

Me and my girlfriend stayed for one night on Monday 19th October 2020, when we arrived we had a speedy check in and not to our knowledge before me book there is a £30 deposit which gets refunded if you don’t get room service, eat or drink at the restaurant or bar as well of damage in the room.
When we got to the Room, We got unpacked and relaxed in which the bed was very comfortable as well of the pillows, the tv was very nice as it had a variety of UK based channels.
There is complimentary Teas, coffee and sugar as well of milk in the fridge (not sure if it’s free) with glasses and mugs
We was tired so we didn’t go out for food so we got a takeaway which we had to pick up from the hotel doors as they are not allowed to go to your room (safety concern)
Unfortunately when it came to the night time there was no bottle water in the fridge which made us really thirsty as no shops were open.
There’s No robes, slippers etc however there is Face wash, body wash, shampoo and conditioner in tiny bottles. You also get a iron with ironing board as well a hairdryer
*Must read for Management*
As an electrical Engineer there’s was a serious issue with the room, one of the spotlights in the bathroom was hanging which had exposed wires and in a wet climate is externally dangerous for people as it can blow up the circuit
I have told the reception about the problem
In conclusion, everything is very clean and lovely room would stay again!

For our first visit to London we decided to stay here. For a family of 4 the two queen beds was desirable, and for visiting the sites, being in Zone 1 made it great for public transit. Just a quick 5 min walk to the Angel station, or numerous bus stops nearby. We were able to visit all the popular spots in either direct or with just one transit connection.
Coming in from Heathrow we took the express to Paddington, and then decided to Uber the rest with all our suitcases. Plus it was only about ÂŁ20. Great choices of restaurants nearby, most with take out and delivery. German Doner Kebab down the street is open late and could be a great choice of you get in late. Banana tree and Nando's were also flavorful options nearby.
Highly recommend the executive room. Included access to the lounge gives you a great light breakfast option located next to the bar. Eggs, ham, sausage, breads, fruit, coffee, milk, juice, and more. The area was quiet and safe, hotel was quiet and safe as well. Room was a nice size, especially for a bigger city. Air conditioning/ heat was one of the quietest systems I have ever heard ( or not heard). Couldn't even tell it was on yet kept the temperature steady. Small fridge in the room plus safe in the closet as well. Internet was easy to connect to and worked flawlessly. Staff was always friendly and helpful. Definitely made our first visit to London a great experience.

Stayed here in January 2022. Hotel was very clean and the room was fantastic. The room had a double bed & a single bed with a very modern bathroom.
Location to angel tube station is within a 6 minute walk and very accessible.
The hotel has contactless check-in which is great too & you can use your phone as your room key. Although You also need a physical key to use the lifts which makes the phone room key pointless.
Staff in the bar were very rude and non talkative. Any queries we had were either ignored or were met with a blunt answer. We asked could we order food from our table and were told no, but the same waiter then served 3 other group of guests AT THEIR TABLE. When cleaning our table after we had eaten, we weren’t asked did we want a desert, a beer, water , just silence and no eye contact . Very very rude staff & the only let down of this hotel.
Breakfast was delicious, there was a queue to get into the breakfast room which was fine. The biggest issue with breakfast was that it was so so busy. There was no sausage, rasher, hash browns or eggs for 10 minutes when we arrived, and this happened multiple times throughout the 45 minutes we were at breakfast as many people were standing around tables waiting while people were trying to eat.

I stayed for one night over the bank holiday with my family. The hotel is extremely clean, absolutely spotless which made our stay very comfortable. The rooms are modern and large. Location is perfect - if you are driving it is just outside of the congestion charge zone so that’s a bonus. No hassle with parking. We weren’t greeted with the famous cookies :-( maybe next time. I paid for breakfast with my room rate but due to covid they are running a limited menu (no cooked breakfasts) so this was disappointing as we had to go elsewhere which was not made clear on booking through a third party website. Interaction with staff was minimal - although in my books this is a good thing. I would stay again.

Stayed here over the August bank holiday weekend and I honestly can’t find anything bad to say about this hotel. Check in was quick and friendly and they gave us a cookie. Lobby and bar areas are very nice, good place to enjoy a glass of wine and food and very reasonable prices. Our room was huge, although it was a room for wheelchairs so I am not sure if they are all that big. Comfy bed, nice range of tea and coffees and a nice bathroom, all spotlessly clean. Breakfast was outstanding, bit of a queue to get in at certain times but we never had to wait too long, and there was always plenty of hot food available. Hotel is in a good location, just round the corner from the Angel tube station, however we did manage to walk back from the west end one evening, it took about 45 minutes. There are plenty of decent places to eat nearby. Only thing I would have liked was some outside space at the hotel to have a drink, especially in the hot weather. But it didn’t really matter as the pub next door has a roof terrace so we enjoyed quite a few drinks in there. Can’t wait to go back!

We stayed here as a group of 4 friends 5-8th January for my 23rd birthday. We booked an accessible room and a normal twin room as I am a semi permanent wheelchair user and need a shower or really low down bath. We requested to be as near as possible to each other and much to our surprise when we got there not only were our rooms next door to each other they also had a connecting door which was perfect for us! Before going up to the room a member of staff checked if a bath would be okay for us in the accessible room which was really considerate but we did also have just a shower in the twin room. There was plenty of space in either of the two rooms to charge my wheelchair and had plenty of plug sockets so you weren’t stuck if you needed to charge something else. The fridge was a handy thing to have as we were able to store plenty in it, the only thing I think could have made the rooms better is a microwave but no big deal as it is well located next to many eating places to suit all budgets/tastes. One massive pro for us was the easy bus links to all the main parts of London as most attractions are only a short bus ride away just round the corner.
