Fantastic staff and services! Luara and Milena were incredibly helpful and accommodating. The food was excellent and the location is perfect. Upon arrival, the room was a bit untidy in the bathroom specifically and there weren't a lot of outlets. Beyond that, it was a fantastic stay.
The staff is amazing! Denada & Yasin helped to arrange our accommodations when getting reservations was difficult. We were suddenly without lodging when our VRBO flat rental fell through. We visited 5 hotels trying to find rooms. Denada helped us to arrange two rooms for 3 nights (we needed 5 nights). Denada was patient and worked diligently to find available rooms. The hotel turned out to be perfect. The breakfast buffet is extensive and delicious. The rooms are clean and the location is perfect for seeing the sights. Later in the week we worked with Yasin to secure rooms for 2 more nights. Yasin was very helpful and compassionate as he did his best to find solutions to our dilemma. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay here again on our next visit to London. Denada & Yasin changed our problem into a dream vacation. :)…
Good welcome from the team at the reception. Miria and Yasin gave us cool addresses to visit. The hotel is big and spacious. So it is easy to move around At the beginning, I didn’t mention I needed an extra bed for baby but they were able to solve the problem.
We stayed at the President while in London to watch The Rolling Stones as part of BST Hyde Park festival. It was the perfect location - one tube from Russell Square to Hyde Park Corner, so easy! And the hotel is very close to the tube, in a nice quiet area. The staff were the loveliest I’ve ever encountered, and the room had everything we needed. The breakfast was great too and I’d recommend the hotel to anyone - especially if attending an event at Hyde Park. Great value, great location and lovely friendly staff!
Stayed 4 nights with my wife in June. This is a large modern hotel, some 600 rooms with a pleasant aspect yet provides a personal service to its guests that we only found in smaller hotels. The breakfast has a fantastic choice of a high standard which we found consistent at whatever time we ate. The room was clean and tidy and comfortable. The hot water in the bathroom was instant and very hot. We enjoyed the evening meal in the bar and found the fish dishes were fresh and delicious. All the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly at all times. We would like to personally thank Akuswa and Yasin who went beyond their call of duty to help us. The service and standard of the Hotel and food is a tribute to the staff and management. We also would like to thank all the staff behind the scenes that made our stay so enjoyable. We have stayed in many Hotels in the UK and Europe in the past 22 years and cannot say anything bad about the President Hotel and have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone planning a trip to London. Stayed for two nights for my 60th birthday Good location near to Covent Garden and theatres Close to underground Speedy and friendly check in Rooms are basic but very clean The room was far too hot and no air conditioning Breakfast was good with good options Bar prices probs what you would expect £7 pint and £9 cocktail Would recommend this hotel and would stay again
Didn’t use any of the hotel facilities but I have to say the comfort of the bed we had was absolutely abysmal. Location wise it’s ideal for Russel square tube station and plenty of places to have a drink/eat whatever takes your fancy.
I don't normally leave reviews but I was nearly put off booking this hotel because of some of the poor reviews. I was pleasantly surprised and would have given 5 stars if there wasn't a few minor glitches. Firstly I want to thank the staff at the hotel for their effort in making our room look special for my husbands 60th birthday..a few balloons and a card left in the room was very well received. The room itself was a little small but we didn't come to London to stay in our room so it's functional. The room was extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable. The standard of daily room cleaning in our was excellent. Only glitches with the room was the lack of electrical points. We had 2 phones and a prosthetic leg to charge and therefore had to alternate between 2 sockets. The breakfast was well worth the money we stuck to a full English but could had had a large selection if we wanted. Food was hot and plentiful. On our first morning we had to wait for a table as the dining room was very busy but we were treat with respect and the staff were very apologetic. The bar area was comfortable the food was good but the menu is very limited which put us off eating there for more than one evening again the staff in this area were great. The location is excellent 2 minutes away from Russell Square tube station and plenty of little shops including Brunswick shopping centre around the corner. There's a great pub 'A Friend at Hand' 1 minute away which does brilliant food. We did the Faulty Towers Dining experience which is held at the hotel. The dining experience was a belly laugh from start to finish. Yes this hotel is a bit tired in places but it does offer good value for what you pay especially when you consider its location. I would definitely stay at this hotel again..…
Hotel room needs updating No iron/ironing board in room Not enough plug sockets No blackout curtains Curtains didn’t close properly No air con Noisy - thin windows Toilet in awkward position No late bar open
First room had the bathroom sink blocked so water couldn't be drained, bed runner also had brown marks on one side and dried blood stains on the other. We had to request to stay in a new room, second room had body hair all over the bed and pillows. The duvet was also ripped all along the side so we had to ask for a third room. Last room we had to stay overnight in was extremely hot as there was no air conditioning, having the window open made no difference and the noise of the outside generators made it impossible for us to sleep. Also found in the morning that there was dried blood on the headboard and on the inside duvet itself. You could even tell that the carpet hadn't been cleaned in any of the rooms, the front desk staff were nice enough and accommodated to our request to change rooms and even gave us free breakfast as an apology. But after all this we had never seen such a filthy hotel and would never stay again.…
