I fell in love with the Covent Garden Hotel. The whole hotel was delightful. It is hard to spot from outside (subtle in it's street-side presence), and lovely inside. It's a smaller, more boutique hotel, with miles (kilometers) of charm and usefulness. The staff was amazingly warm, witty and helpful. The rooms were luxurious, but homey. The rooms had plugs...

Great location. Exquisitely decorated. Staff extremely courteous. Very comfortable room, bed amazing. Considering location, very quiet. Breakfast in the brassiere probably one of the best hotel breakfasts I have ever enjoyed. Children well catered for and no trouble. Good cosy gym!

Wonderful location for theatre/opera. Hotel itself is charming and the breakfast delightful. Room very comfortable and uniquely styled. The staff were helpful too. Would recommend to all, it just depends on whether or not you're prepared to pay to stay at one of the best hotels in London!

The Covent Garden Hotel is wonderful in every way. It is beautifully decorated in the public areas and rooms. The service is excellent -- in the library, at the restaurant/bar, at the front desk. The food is delicious -- breakfast, tea, snacks. The location on a charming street in the Seven Dials neighborhood is fabulous and near many shops and...

The only reason this is not 5* is that I spent some considerable time getting the hotel to agree that breakfast was included. Not sure why but they like a fight! The Drawing Room on the first floor offered a perfect venue for my four business meetings.

I chose this hotel because of the location. However, I would not book this hotel if I plan to come during the Chinese New Year. Roads were blocked in the area on Sunday during the Chinese New Year. Uber drivers could not get to the hotel. I chose the luxury deluxe room coz I knew my husband would want a...

We had three nights at Covent Garden Hotel. This is very conveniently placed, just off Shaftesbury Avenue near Cambridge Circus, and so deep in the heart of the West End, and just a short walk to theatres, Covent Garden (for the opera) and only 100 yards from The Ivy where we ate one evening. The hotel is surprisingly quiet -...

Three times I've stayed here and each time it gets better. The rooms are comfortable, classy and peaceful. The restaurant/bar gives me all kinds of ideas and the staff hit exactly the right balance - friendly, cooperative and professional. My favourite element was the linen spray - just what you need to induce peaceful sleep. Location-wise, it's like a village...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Covent Garden Hotel opened in April 1996 but the building dates back to the 1890’s when it operated as a French hospital. It is located in Monmouth Street, a charming cobbled street in the heart of the theatre district and surrounded by interesting boutiques, restaurants, cafes and bars. Covent Garden Hotel is "a quirky modern take on traditional English style." The hotel's interior has been dramatically designed by owner and design director Kit Kemp, and reflects her personal attention to detail. The ground floor is just like a stage set. A quietly bustling lobby leads into Brasserie Max, the hotel’s bar and restaurant. Up a sweeping stone staircase and into a sumptuous wood paneled drawing room and library, each with a log burning fireplace, quirky furniture and vivid upholstery. Downstairs there is a gym, private event space and a screening room. ... more   less
