My brand new credit card had not yet been auhtorized, so as a regular customer, I agreed at the check-in with the first desk clerk on a cash payment. Coming back 3 hours later, another desk clerk demanded an instant cash payment. I am not getting into details, but her behaviour was absolutely disgusting. I chose not to check out,...

We are sorry if you felt we upset you during your last stay with us. It is normal procedure amongst hotels to ask for a cash payment if valid credit card details cannot be provided upon check in. As you could not provide us with a valid credit card, you agreed with our receptionist to go to the bank and...

Just spent three nights at this hotel. What a wonderful experience, so very clean neat and tidy in all departments. We booked a standard room, a little on the small side, but very thing was so perfect it was no worry. The complementary breakfast was excellent if basic, free soft drinks available 24hrs and a free bar 3.00pm through to...

We stayed one night on a last-minute internet deal. The location is excellent, in a very quiet little cul-de-sac off the Brompton Road a minute from Harrods and a few minutes to the Kensington museums. The double room was small, with just enough room for two arm chairs and a low table (as well the the bed of course): the...

This is probably the best hotel I have ever stayed at. The service was fantastic, the decor charming, the prices very reasonable.

Wow! Afternoon tea (coffee actually) was served just after we arrived. I also had a glass of champagne with mine. The scones were still warm and served with clotted cream and jam in the lounge area by reception. The receptionist and bell boy were efficient and friendly in the right measure. We had a lovely deluxe double (room 14) just...

Definitively a good place to stay when visiting London for a break-away week end. Location is ideal for shopping and culture. Service is at par with the elegant design. Would definitively recommend and will stay there again. Fits single travellers or family, men or women (elegant shopping area).

Pretty close to a perfect boutique hotel. I will absolutely stay here again. This hotel had excellent service and is beautifully appointed. About 1 block from Herrods and amazing shoping and dining...and when i say amazing shopping, I mean world-class! Within short walking distance of the victoria and albert museum and the saatchi museums. They don't have dinner room service...

My husband and I spent one lovely night in this amazing hotel. We were on our way back from a conference in Nottingham and wished we could extend our trip for a week to just stay here and see London by day. There are probably many amazing areas in London but if you want to be near Knighsbridge, Harrods, this...

Staying in Knightsbridge

Neighbourhood Profile
Knightsbridge
When millions of tourists want to shop 'til they drop, they do it along Brompton Road and its boutique-lined tributaries, including the world-renowned Harrods. And when millionaires want to flaunt what they've already got, many of them find Knightsbridge and Belgravia the perfect place to do so, often behind stately mansion walls or down quiet private mews. Delve beyond the ultra-luxe exterior and you'll find some of this city's cosiest pubs, quiet gardens, and all sorts of indie retailers and enterprises worth a short exercise in spontaneous window shopping. For those looking to take a break from shopping, Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, and some of the city's most popular museums are nearby.
