Stayed for 2 nights fora weekend away in the big smoke, and could not fault the hotel at all. The welcome when we arrived was very friendly, room was great, the mini bar is complimentary (although there's no alcohol in it before you get too excited!). Location is great, midway between Aldgate and Tower Hill tube station, easy walk across...

Just arrived home after a 2 night stay at Hotel Indigo. My husband booked this for my christmas present and emailed ahead to let them know it was a special occasion. We were greeted by a very cheerful and very helpful girl on reception called Viktorija. We were given an upgrade to King executive. The room was amazing, very comfortable...

My boyfriend and I stayed at Hotel Indigo at the Tower Hill location for 3 nights and had a wonderful stay! We stayed in the Executive King and was very impressed with everything! The room was very spacious and had a unique but trendy decor. Our room came with bathrobes, slippers, Aveda bath products, and a complimentary mini bar. My...

Spent 4 nights in the hotel. It lives up to the Indigo standard and the service was over the top. I got a free room upgrade, the mini-bar is complementary and they have an agreement with a near-by gym to provide daily passes for guests which is a much better option than the usual small in-hotel gym. I'm definitely coming...

From the moment I booked till the time I checked out it has been a pleasure. Every single employee I encountered could not do enough for me. Victoria at the front desk deserves a special shout out. Her personality shines through and you can tell she Loves her job. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Location is central and close...

Only spent one night here but were quite happy with it. Clean, modern, quiet. Large room with a four poster bed, good-sized bathroom, within easy walking distance to the Tower of London and other attractions and at least 2 Tube stations. There was a loaner smart phone in the room, which allowed free calls, local and international, and had a...

Loved this hotel. Perfect location, friendly staff, modern, comfortable, spotlessly clean & funky rooms, what's not to like? I contacted the hotel just after booking and requested a room on a high floor with a nice view of London. Both requests were met, our room was of an excellent size by London standards and we could see the Shard, Sky...

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
