The most notable thing is we didn't feel like we were in the England of Virginia Woolf or the Bloomsbury we were looking for. We have been visiting the area for years and with big profit-venturing groups taking over all the family-owned B&Bs, it feels less and less English and more and more impersonal. The majority of staff on duty... More

The positives- the location is great, a stones throw from Kings Cross and other interesting locations. I also explored less touristy places around Bloomsbury and again this was great. I wouldn't however ever go to the hotel again although I would recommend the area. I paid £268 for a double room, breakfast was included but service stopped at 9am. The... More

We stayed for 3 nights over the bank holiday and cant really have too many complaints. The room on the ground floor was clean although a little cramped. Location is excellent , 10 mins walk from Kings Cross Station with plenty of bars, eateries close by. Only complaint is the front entrance door which slams shut every time someone comes... More

Judd's hotel is conveniently situated for Euston, St Pancras and King's Cross. Set in the quiet Cartwright Gardens off the Euston road it's clean and reasonably (for London) priced. Rooms have tea and coffee, telly and en suite. The only drawback is no lift. If it's a business visit this should'nt be a problem but if your going on Eurostar... More

I stayed at this hotel on business, it was booked for ease of getting to the Eurostar. NEVER AGAIN. The room was very cold and the bathroom cubicle was broken and there was a very loud noise vibrating through the walls all night long. I asked at reception if he could sort out the problem as I could not sleep,... More

I stayed here for business one night only (thank goodness). My room was tiny, in the basement with a single bed and hardly any room. I think it is cheap though I didn't book it, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you're on a tight budget, there must be better rooms than the one I had. It is very convenient... More

Stayed at this hotel in April on business courtesy of my companies Hotel Booking Service. As I was only staying overnight, I was happy with the small room I was given (Room G04). The stairwell was bit narrow but with an overnight bag was no hassle. The room was well decorated and supplied, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom... More

Quite simply diabolical, rooms had creatures flying around it was disgusting, smelly and clostrophibic, honestly that was appalling !!! Receptionist had no soft skills. I refused to stay at the hotel and forfeited the £120 I had paid for the room. I went online and was able to book a hotel very close to Euston station. I paid almost double... More

Do not stay here i booked the hotel as i had an exam the following day at the RCGP. Firstly they said we could not stay in the room we had booked because the hotel had flooded which we accept. We were then placed in a basement room with the hotel ac fans behind it. We initially stated it was... More

Excellent hotel adjacent to Bloomsbury. Very helpful reception staff and wonderful location facing tennis courts and gardens. I had a basement room at the front and it was fine - comfy twin beds and a clean, modern bathroom. I'd definitely stay here again.

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
