For 70 quid, don't go in expecting a big room with a great view in West End near Holland Park, but do be surprised at how nice, modern, and accommodating this hotel is for the price. Tiny rooms best for single, and maybe double occupancy, certainly not a family, but clean, recently remodeled and steps from everything you want. I...

Strange entrance squeezed into High St Ken reveals a bijou hotel behind. Our room had a poor view but was a decent size with good facilities. The breakfast rooms so small but the continental breakfast was decent. Very obliging management and staff. This place OSB very good value for money: I shall certainly use use next time that I want...

Don't be put off by the outside/entrance door. Once up the stairs, this is a gem of a place to stay. The staff are welcoming and obliging and although the room was small, it was extremely well presented had everything that was needed.

I booked this hotel last minute for a one night stay with my 3 year old son. After reading some of the reviews I wasn't expecting much but as I'd only paid a half price room rate I'd decided to make the best of it. I cannot emphasise enough what a great place this turned out to be! Minutes from...

I can't overemphasize how pleasantly surprised I am by the Best Western Seraphine Kensington Gardens. I showed up at 8:00 a.m. off a transatlantic flight assuming I'd be laughed at if I asked if there was a room ready, but with no fuss or sense of duty, I was given a key and soundly napping by 8:15. Seeing how narrow...

We spent a couple of nights here in February. We'd read the reviews, so weren't expecting an enormous room , but it was more than adequate for our needs - immaculately clean, well decorated, with all modern requirements : WIFI, TV, tea making facilities, good shower, toiletries etc. Although the room overlooked busy Kensington High Street, triple glazing kept it...

Hotel was clean, vibrant and warm. Our room was overlooking Kensington high street and despite lots of traffic sleep was fine and wasn't noisy at all. Food is a little pricey for what it is however you're not far from local restaurants and bars and of course, as with any part of London, you can get almost anywhere in under...

This hotel is in an amazing location on Kensington high street within easy walking distance of great shops, bars, restaurants, Kensington Gardens and a tube station. The rooms are tiny; very very small beds and the bathrooms follow suit too! But if you can over look that: the great location, friendly service and adequate free breakfast will leave you very...

I stayed one night at the Seraphine and would recommend to anyone visiting London. The reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful, even offering to help me with my bags. The room was spotless, modern and well equipped with a very comfortable bed. The hotel is 5 minutes walk from the tube and perfectly located for any visitor to London,...

I have just spent three awesome days in London! This hotel is great! Nice staff, delicious continental breakfast as well as an excellent location. My single room was fantastic: perfect size, comfortable bed, very good WIFI service... The bathroom was very clean and the shower was fantastic. Hyde Park is in front of the building, so if u're a runner...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
