First time staying at Lavender, and I'll definitely be back. Start off with the knowledge you're paying £55 for a room in central London. That's cheaper than a travelodge, and this is cleaner, vastly friendlier, you get breakfast and you're a stone's throw from Clapham Junc. The breakfast is continental / scrambled eggs on toast etc. It's not a full...

I last stayed in the Lavender about a year ago, and going back felt like going home. It's clean, safe, comfy, close to Clapham Junction, close to bars and restaurants - basically perfect. John and his son are lovely hosts, and they accommodated everything my husband and I needed, then looked after me for the few days I stayed alone....

I stayed for two nights and found it clean, warm and welcoming. I got the impression everything is cleaned and checked assiduously and the whole place is the product of years of hard-won experience, which I believe it is. The shower in my top floor room worked brilliantly, better than in many grander places. And it really is five minutes...

I regularly stay at The Lavender Guest House when I am in London on my breaks from working as a live-in carer. The rooms are always clean and comfortable and the crisp cotton sheets a delight to sleep in! The family; John, Tony, Alice and Lisa are always welcoming and make me feel instantly 'at home'. When I get up...
