The staff was awesome, breakfast was downstairs in the bar area but was clean and well-stocked. We stayed in the larger mixed dorm room, the lockers were convenient. There was also an upstairs kitchen for preparation of meals or your own food, which we used for coffee. The kitchen was also very clean and well-maintained. Other guests were friendly. The...

This is a good location on the south bank in central London, just a few minutes walk east of Westminster Bridge. The staff was very friendly and answered any questions we had. The downstairs pub was very nice, and the included breakfast quite all right. The only downside is that it is very close to Lambeth station and our room...

I stayed here with a friend for one night and loved it! The hostel was very clean with good wifi in all the rooms, and they serve great breakfast in the morning. There is a pub downstairs with a great cocktail menu and it's all really good value (plus guests get 15% off at the bar). It's in a brilliant...

The Walrus is awesome. Best location ever, very affordable for London and the staff are great. The bar is fantastic and has a good vibe. Toilets, showers, kitchen and dorms are all a little small and worn down but you can forgive all that in a heatbeat because of the good points. Wouldnt think twice about staying here again. PS....

We dropped in here for a couple of pints after eating at Marie's Cafe to see the end of the Wales/England game last Friday. We were immediately struck by what a good mix of people there was here, and it's such a friendly, atmospheric place. Will defo be back next time in Waterloo area.

A friend and I stayed a couple days in The Walrus and it turned out to be one of our favorite hostels. It was also our very first hostel that we've ever stayed at, which set a high bar for all our future hostel stays! The staff is extrememly pleasent and helpful. They even directed us to a delicious Indian...

Outstanding combo of great location and jolly little snug pub plus tasty breakfast, good kitchen facilities, and excellent shower room, especially right after scrub down. Plumbing in the grand old building is not perfect and beware, if you are an early to bed type, the trains going right by to Waterloo don't stop running until midnight. After midnight though and...

Terrifically helpful staff, friendly atmosphere, clean beds, yummy breakfast, perfect location near underground station. The pub was a great eccentric spot to people watch or mingle. I felt quite safe and welcome my whole stay. This place met all my travel needs and then some! Strongly recommend it. Only tip is to bring earplugs as Waterloo station is just behind...

Great hostel, the PUB is great, awesome environment, made great friends, and will sure go back as soon I back in UK. The runs have enough space and the shared bathroom are clean, there are rental bikes on the corner, and London Eye at walking distance.

If you want to be in the heart of London, in a Hostel and get a real English experience... then pop over to The Walrus Hostel. Yes the downsides are that showers are something that you end up lining up for, and the train tracks are right next to the Hostel.. plus the ground floor of the Hostel is a...
