Good choice for an overnight stop for work. Clean, good quality rooms. A little small but well presented. The entrance to the hotel in inviting and well presented. Cheerful and friendly customer service. We didn't eat in the hotel but the breakfast buffet looked nice.

I spent one night here on a work related visit. Its location is excellent (walking distance from London Bridge Tube station); right opposite a Sainsburys (open until midnight) ; the staff is excellent and the decor is interesting

Nice location with great coffee and homemade biscuits. Good little alcove for business discussions away from the office. The friendly staff and comfortable interior make it more pleasurable than a coffee shop

Great hotel in good location. Close to Borough, south Bank, Tower of London etc. Situated in a lovely area with great bars, restaurants and art galleries. Quirky interiors downstairs and beautifully clean and quiet bedrooms with great views. Thank you very much!

After a long day at a training course, this hotel was a welcome retreat. Rooms are lovely, man on reception was really nice, shower amazing! Conveniently located opposite a mini Sainsbury's if you want to grab your own food - but also has restaurant downstairs with a tasty looking but not very wide ranging menu. Doesn't serve alcohol though -...

Bit of confusion at check in but very friendly staff, quickly sorted. Really clean and spacious room, great cooked breakfast in the morning they even offered to store our bags for the day after we'd checked out so we could shop without them, very helpful!

Very cool hotel just a short walk from the Thames. Comfortable room and bed with great shower. The continental breakfast was delicious and we had a slightly late check-out, which was handy. But the east European staff can appear a little brusque and unfriendly.

This hotel was in a nice area but quite far from the tube station. I think my friends and I got lost walking back using the maps on our phones. There are some nice restaurants within walking distance and some cool bars and shops. Rooms are larger than average so that was a big plus. Bed was comfortable, room was...

Staying in Southwark

Neighbourhood Profile
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighbourhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
