The view from the room was lovely and I was very impressed by the staff and how helpful they were. The bar was amazing and once again really friendly waiters - good drinks and cocktails. The breakfast was really enjoyable especially with the view and there were a good variety of options on offer. The pool was clean and I was impressed with the facilities e.g. the sauna and the gym. However, we paid nearly £300 for a one night stay in an executive room including breakfast and I just don't feel the room was up to an 'executive' standard. The only good feature of the room was the view. Furthermore, I did inform the hotel (on special requests) that it was a special occasion, an anniversary, but nothing was acknowledged. An hour before leaving we received some chocolate however it was addressed to the wrong person so I don't think it was meant for us? Whilst I understand staff are busy etc. and this is just an extra something a customer is asking for, I would have thought a little bit more effort could have been put into making a stay special - or inform me that this request was not possible. The bathrobe was included in the package of the executive room and had orange stains on the inside so I am not sure if this had even been washed? The belt loop of the robe was also snapped however I completely get things break and this is only a minor thing. There were brown stains on the carpet, the side of the chair and the curtains. Whilst I completely understand that things do get dirty and stains cannot always come off, I don't think this room should be an executive room if there are marks over the room. The fridge was also dirty and had not been wiped down which I thought would be a hygiene issue. I am not too sure what it was in the fridge. The shower also had quite a disgusting smell coming from it whenever you turned it on, so I assume there is some sort of drainage problem/cleanliness issue. This once again wasn't a big issue but I would expect a fully working, non smelling shower. Lastly, on the inside of the bedsheet there were a few stains and marks. I am not sure if an alternative duvet could have been used or was available but it would have been nice for this to have been acknowledged and the duvet changed. We only noticed once we had slept in the bed and it made me feel quite uneasy. Overall it was a good experience however there were quite a few let downs and I am not sure whether the room we stayed in is worth the price or should be labelled as 'executive' as I do not think it meets these standards. I do understand due to COVID there are staffing issues however I do still feel this room was not up to standards and I am disappointed with this.

Great stay room was fine breakfast was great and who doesnt want a view at brekkie, bar was ok bit expensive but its london so prices around average staff were ok on check in and out breakfast manager or supervisor was really nice told me where everything was as self service breakfast, food was great both days i was there. I stayed in room 1310 room was great nothing to complain about even with construction site next door which didnt bother me at all.

I booked this hotel in advance of my husband’s birthday and - based on the online images - booked the Executive Terrace Suite as a surprise. Unfortunately, the build-up was more exciting than the event because as soon as we checked-in to the room it was instant disappointment. I won’t go into much detail about the standards, as we completely understood that the room hadn’t been used often and cleaning / staffing was significantly reduced due to COVID. However, the customer service we received from the manager on duty (Tim) was outstanding and it was this that prompted the rating I have given. After a few hours wait (whereby we ventured to Canary Wharf for a meal) we were given an Executive Room, a complimentary bottle of prosecco and chocolates (which realistically it would’ve been nice to have received before the complaint considering I had detailed my husband’s birthday on the booking months in advance) and a refund for the difference in price. Unfortunately, price was indiscreetly mentioned to my husband during the saga, which spoiled the birthday ‘surprise’ stay but also made us even more sure that the Executive Terrace Suite was simply not worth it - particularly for the very poor standard we found the room in. The Executive Suite on the other-hand was actually much nicer and the views were fantastic! We had further issues with a leaky shower and awfully loud noise throughout the night from the room upstairs but, again, the reception team and their customer service was outstanding. Overall, our stay was sadly disappointing but the staff remained professional throughout and their customer service was outstanding. We will definitely visit again in the future (and include a meal at the brilliant Bokan restaurant) in the hope that our stay and experience will be more positive.

Lovey looking and very clean. But they provide a very basic service, no complimentary biscuits in rooms and they try and put you off ordering room service when you call as I suppose staff can’t be bothered. Pool area nice but small. Breakfast service was ok.

We stayed here for 3 nights and I must say we had a fabulous time. The hotel is ideally situated at Canary Wharf 5 minutes from tube station and local to amenities close to a Tesco Express if you run out of anything.We stayed in room 3403 which had fantastic views over central London the bed was very comfortable and so relaxing,they have an excellent swimming pool and gymnasium. The bar area and resteraunt have fantastic views over the Thames and views of the city and you could sit there all day and night just looking at views. I must mention all the staff who were all so courteous and could not do enough for us especially the General Manager who went out of her way to help us. All in all we had a wonderful time and can't wait to go back.
